I think this got me thinking about the the spanish word for Football (Soccer here in America). And it clicked with me, futbol is a loanword. My mind was blown! Anyways, the word soccer needs to be eliminated. WTF does soccer actually mean? Why did someone decide to name proper football 'soccer' in U.S.? (and maybe a few other English speaking countries).
