I haven't played XD yet, but I didn't like how Mirror B's theme got turned to Disco. It doesn't sound as memorable, but maybe it will be different when I start playing the game.

It was stupid easy if you used the legendary dogs. I tried a run without them and it was pretty hard to use the gen 2 pokemons, especially when the majority of them were water types.

I bought XD for cheap at Blockbuster simply because IIRC it was the only way to get Lugia and the Johto starters in Gen 3 (well, I think you could also get the latter in FR/LG, but winning a 100-battle tournament 3 times seemed more fun than completing the Pokedex 3 times).

Anyway, as is often the case when I go into something with low / no expectations, I was genuinely surprised with how much more enjoyable the game was over the majority of the mainline entries. Excellent soundtrack, fun characters, enjoyable plot and catching mechanic.

I ultimately did myself a disservice by playing the two games in reverse, since XD was a clear step-up over Coliseum. IMO the only thing Coliseum has over XD is a cooler protagonist with a sweeter ride and cute Misty knockoff sidekick.
