esports, chess and darts are not a sport

what makes a sport is when a game is a physical challenge and there is some type of training/workouts you go through

there's no way a snooker player is an 'athlete'

You haven't seen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Werbeniuk then, haha.

Werbeniuk was noted for the copious amounts of alcohol he consumed before and during matches at least six pints before a match and then one pint for each frame. In total, he drank between 40 and 50 pints of lager per day.[1][3] Doctors advised Werbeniuk to drink alcohol to counteract a familial benign essential tremor.[4] Later in his career he also took propranolol, a beta blocker, to cope with the effects of his alcohol consumption on his heart.[5]

Bill was also famously reported in the UK tabloid press as successfully claiming the cost of 6 pints of lager before every match as a tax deductible expense.[2]

Some of Werbeniuk's most famous feats of drinking include: 76 cans of lager during a game with John Spencer in Australia in the 1970s;[1] 43 pints of lager in a snooker match/drinking contest against Scotsman Eddie Sinclair in which, after Sinclair had passed out following his 42nd pint, Werbeniuk was reported to say "I'm away to the bar now for a proper drink";[6] 28 pints of lager and 16 whiskies over the course of 11 frames during a match against Nigel Bond, in January 1990 after which Werbeniuk then consumed an entire bottle of Scotch to "drown his sorrows" after losing the match.[1]

Cheating is wrong because it's a betrayal of trust.

If one cannot contribute meaningfully to a discussion, it is best they not speak at all.

Societies are constructed upon social contracts between individuals and the groups of people they cohabitate with. If one continues to live within a society and they benefit from its order, they have an ethical obligation to maintain the viability of that society for other people.

Never return an empty dish. I cook a lot for friends and neighbors, sometimes something extravagant sometimes something normal just to get them through a period where I know they'll be too busy for a home cooked meal for their family. I don't expect anything great but when I get my dish back empty it's kinda like, well dang. I know it's kinda silly but I got it from my mom who got it from her mom, and they both endured extreme poverty and hardship yet still abided by it. idk. I know it's dumb lol.

Completely agree. Its because it forces a socially awkward generation that sucks at person to person interaction into those situations.

I think part of it comes from a fairly legitimate point that for generations people have been lowkey alcoholics and this generation is going very far the other way. Like we all have worked with a woman called Carol who makes trashy wine jokes all the time and you know she's going through like 2 bottles a night at home with her cats.

Still, don't fucking look at me like I'm an alien just because I invited you to the bar on a wednesday.

Pretty much what I came in to post. I'm really old fashioned with genders. I know I treat women at a higher level than I do men. I also like women in dresses.

Really? Well fuck them. I do what I want on my own time. Is this a thing with young people pinky? If so I'm so glad I'm to old to give a fuck.

Edit: But them again I haven't chosen to socially interact with coworkers since I was in my twenties. I keep work and personal life separate.

- if youre sincere about a relationship, you shouldnt be texting or proactively talking to other people that you know you dont really have any reason talking to other than possibly having sex with each other - save me your bullshit about how its 100% just friends or that youre naive about what youre doing

- abortion is killing a life - if you didnt want a baby, you shouldnt have had sex on your period

- cussing a lot is extremely rude and you look like an idiot

- along the same lines, money doesnt bring class and etiquette actually does matter - you should strive to be polite in society, its not that difficult

- overly superficial people totally deserve their eventual comeuppance when they get older and nobody cares about them anymore
