I cook a lot for friends and neighbors, sometimes something extravagant sometimes something normal just to get them through a period where I know they'll be too busy for a home cooked meal for their family. I don't expect anything great but when I get my dish back empty it's kinda like, well dang. I know it's kinda silly but I got it from my mom who got it from her mom, and they both endured extreme poverty and hardship yet still abided by it. idk.
