Hannity defends a (alleged, lol) pedo, advertisers don't like it and pull ads from his show, his supporters get buttfurious and call for boycotts. remember how well those have gone in the past?

K-cups are overpriced and terrible for the environment. I despise them just for that. And they taste like shit.

it's been over 3000 days since he volunteered to be waterboarded for charity to demonstrate how it's "not torture. he still hasn't done it.

There is something terribly sad about all this, of course. A world in which self-expression is limited to performative, politicized acts of consumptionand in which the things being consumed are, in form and content, not just unsatisfying but the product of an immense disdain for the very idea of your satisfactionis horrible to consider. Its not a future that serves anyone but those least deserving of that courtesy. And that is why Im going to take a picture of myself eating an Auntie Annes pretzel and tweet it at the President. Hes going to hate that.

Dumb reason to boycott them, but I can't imagine the K-Cups are eco-friendly anyway. They need to go regardless of this issue.

I'm gonna get a new coffee machine next month. I've wanted to grind my own beans for about a year now.

if you're serious about making good coffee, get a manual grinder (not electric) and a french or aero press.

It's hilarious how Hannity so openly markets shit he's invested in (products, companies, movies like Let There Be Light) yet his fans can't seem to realize it.

You guys are super weird at phrasing things >_> Keurig just makes the machine, the actual coffee companies make their own K-Cups.

You can also get reusable ones that you can fill with your own coffee grounds.

Keurig likely licensed out the K-Cup patent and makes a buttload on royalties for every K-Cup sold.

We have a Keurig machine, but we use the reusable filters only. A lot cheaper that way.

didn't Keurig implement effectively DRM on the cups though, preventing 3rd party cups (including reusable ones) from working in the newer machines?

Yep

A lot of Republicans think they live in an 80s cartoon, fighting against the unambiguously evil Democrats, who are such for absolutely no reason.

Only the "new" ones for the 2.0. The "old" K-Cup patent actually expired in 2012 which is the main reason why the Keurig system has so much more support than any of the others (and the machines are far cheaper than the Nespresso ones which also expired).

They did and it nuked their bottom line and their reputation. However you can still get the old machines that accept whatever the fuck you put in it.

You can also "hack" the new ones - just tape a label of one cup onto another one.
