Sadly, a lot of his friend, and even his wife, are... "big". I don't know how long he will follow through with his new diet when everybody around him isn't changing.

People who have gastric bypass will inevitably lose weight, partly because they literally don't have a large enough stomach to gorge themselves on food, and partly because they don't produce enough acid and pancreatic enzymes to digest what little food they actually ate.

I know many people (all women tho), that has gotten it and has turned out well. They are fit and healthy.

But I remember when I was in high school (health care program) and I was practice in the hospital, there was an obese woman that just got the surgery exclaimed to the nurses she can't get away from the ward to gorge on cheese burgers.

No way! With the malabsorption problem brought on by the bypass, he won't be able to have the nutrition to be a Chad even if he got off his lazy butt and lifted heavy.

Not to mention all the scars he's gonna have when he gets the extra skin removed...

According to Adam ruins everything he's gonna gain the weight back unless he has some amazing will power and his body is actually capable of keeping itself like that. I doubt he has any of that so ultimately this is just a waste of money and time.

If I had to bet serious money I would say within the first month of being out of the hospital he ends up bursting the stomach staples from impulsive over eating, and ends up in the ER from the damage it caused.

Then he'll make a youtube video making pathetic excuses that he couldn't help himself "wahh wahh i was so sad i didn't lose 200 lbs overnight that I turned to food for comfort" and nothing will change.

Boogie has 0 will power and has shown time and time again he refuses to put any real world effort of any kind into fixing himself. Instead he puts effort into making disgusting videos of himself eating whole jars of mayo and crap.

The guy had (I forget the guys name) some seriously famous trainer offer to help him 100% of the way FOR FREE, and boogie refused him.

When the mom from honey boo boo can get her shit together and turn into a normal human being, and you can't? That's when you know you're a real waste of space. I honestly have 0 idea why he has any people making him able to make a living off youtube and such. Here's to hoping the youtube adpocalypse kills his channel; honestly the only way he'll lose the weight is if he's literally so poor that he can't afford to eat much at all. He's so weak willed and impulsive and self excusing and self enabling you'd have to pretty much institutionalize him and force him into the diet and regiment to lose the weight, like literally taking away his freedom because he would frankly use any opportunity to sneak off and gorge.

After seeing how he handled the Anita thing, he pretty much made it clear he's as weak and pathetic as a person can be in pretty much every area of his life. He won't change unless he's like kidnapped and taken to some military style camp and broken down and rebuilt from the ground up into a decent member of society that isn't a jelly spined pile of human garbage.

I know two people who have had this surgery and they are almost back at the same weight they were before the surgery.

Among the many problems with this surgery, I think the major one is that this method doesn't help people develop the habits they need to be healthy.

1. How to eat well
2. Exercising
3. Self control

Yeah, people who get that big have need of the big three: nutritionists, personal trainers, and psychiatrists.

My wife had a major metabolic problem. She got the sleeve gastrectomy. She went from 245 to 175 since March. She cannot eat a full jello cup without being overfilled. She has never had any problem with overeating. When she first started, she didn't know how much she could eat. It made her sick. Good programs will provide you at least with a PT and a nutritionist pre and post op. In addition, you have to get a psych consult before having the surgery. Some people need it for longer. The program my wife used has a support group. They showed her foods that she could have and how to deal with certain things.

I agree, I am just confused why surgery was approved for a guy who made no effort to lose weight. Surgery isn't magic, all the mental issues and lack of will power will remain.

Agreed and good luck to your wife! The best advice I can give (seeing two people I know fail) is be the best partner you can to her. It's so much easier when both people in the relationship make diet changes and start exercising.

Thanks. She's lost 70 lbs. I lost 50 and put 20 lbs of muscle back on (over the course of the entire year for me). We started fixing nutrition back in December of last year.

As a friend i hope he pulls a rabbit out of his ass and pulls through.
