I liked it. I heard it was based loosely on Old Man Logan but damn, they pushed "loosely" to the limits. It was almost nothing like the comic.
A little bummed it's Jackman's last turn as Wolverine (although I understand he left the door open if Wolverine could somehow become part of the Avengers/MCU). He's so great in the role. Wonder who they'll cast in the future? A lot of people (I think including Jackman) said they would've liked to see Tom Hardy as Wolverine. But now that he's playing Venom I dunno if that'd still be on the table. Unless Venom is a massive failure. --- This user is awesome!: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/user.php?board=927246&topic=44002798 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Tom Hardy would be a great pick, and it's not impossible (though unlikely) for him to pull double duty. Ryan Reynolds was Green Lantern and is now on his second (vastly improved) incarnation of Deadpool. Chris Evans was Human Torch before becoming Captain America. Ben Affleck was Superman (sort of) before becoming Batman. There's probably other examples. I doubt it'll be Hardy, but I'd love to see it. Hope Venom turns out okay.

I know Kick-Ass and Sin City etc were there first, but I think Deadpool really kicked the door open for rated R comic book movies. --- https://i.imgur.com/ZwO4qO2.gifv "outrage culture sure is fun." - Nade Duck ... Those are all roles that they took after a failed previous role. Also Affleck did do an actual superhero movie with Daredevil.
However Josh Brolin is pulling double duty as Thanos and Cable (and both of these are after his failed Jonah Hex movie) so you're right that it's not impossible. --- This user is awesome!: http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/user.php?board=927246&topic=44002798 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Not only are the examples of failed roles but also involved jumping license holders. Nobody bombed a Marvel role and then was re-cast within Marvel. They were all scraped from the wreckage of Fox or DC.

Nah but I liked it , my cousin said it was too talky but I thought their was a lot of action, I think he has just a low attention span because it was like 2 hours and 15 minutes or so.

My only issue is that the ending was easy to predict. Once they killed off Xavier it was obvious what the end game of the movie was going to be. Well, Hugh Jackman said it was gonna be his last movie as Wovlerine, and since the previews showed he was old and losing his powers i'm mean, you have to expected it. --- This is my signature, there are many others like it, but this one is mine. Have you ever seen No Country For Old Men? Logan is basically that movie reskinned to involve X-Men plot in it.
Not saying it was really a bad thing, hell i love the movie 10/10 by far best of the wolverine movies. But the entire concept is literally the same actually really cool when you see the interviews and they discuss how Logan was inspired by old westerns ... Copied to Clipboard!

To be honest, I fail to see any parallels to No Country For Old Men, either.
I mean, is Laura supposed to be the bag of cash? Seems to be a stretch, at best. If anything, I'd say it's more similar to Leon the Professional, and even that's a stretch. At the end of the day, most stories can be boiled down thematically to be derivative of Shakespeare or some other classical literature. But I don't see the connection to NCFOM. --- https://i.imgur.com/ZwO4qO2.gifv "outrage culture sure is fun." - Nade Duck ... Copied to Clipboard!
