sucks that winston didn't get an event skin though. constantly been getting overlooked. you'd think a mascot character like him would get better treatment!

I'm going to try getting everything. It will require a TON of playing most likely because at my level 3-4 dupe loot boxes are incredibly common.

winter and chinese new year feel like so long ago now! and i guess i kinda see him as on par with tracer, reinhardt, and mercy as the game's more iconic characters. blizzard doesn't seem to think so, unfortunately. d.va, genji, and even fucking bastion have gotten a lot more cosmetic love.

After 5 boxes, the most I've gotten is a Torbjorn highlight intro.

If Lucio's skin really changes his music, I might have to buy it even if I don't play him a ton. That's just really cool.

Lucio, Tracer and Genji all have excellent skins. Of the people who got skins, Hanzo and Bastion are probably my most used, and I'm not particularly impressed with theirs.

I like the changes to 3v3. Before Lockout, numbers and I could reliably win about 80% of the matches with a Mei/Roadhog combo. Now we're forced to change our strategy.

I hate when people are just goofing around or flat out terrible on my team. If you suck at healing please don't even bother picking healer. Like if I can switch to healer in the last minute and outheal you when you've been healer the entire match you're probably really bad...

and of course my first win is from a dude quitting midway lolol

yeah, really liking the changes for these arcade modes. 3v3 was pretty much solved with the roadhog/soldier combo plus who else has self-healing. these new maps are interesting too!

oh yeah that's sorta my case too. got to masters but by playing tanks and support. i mean i got to diamond insta-locking dps, but i'd get my kills off of better positioning than through pure mechanical skill. switched off to more utility roles once i got to mid and high diamond.

I've been playing healer a lot lately in QP since I just can't seem to trust anybody else to heal well when I'm playing solo. The downside to it is I often feel like I need to play tank at the same time because my team either never has one or has ones who aren't trying to tank or support the team

I keep getting paired with scrubs in 3v3 lockdown and I'm bad and I need people to carry me to lootboxes.

Got Reinhardt's dance emote! Still not a single Legendary in my loot box though. I gotta be due for one soon since it's like every 12-15 loot boxes or something on average

Yeah, I never played Elimination that much and it's pretty obvious why. I'm not that great at holding my own in direct firefights. I'm pretty good and scoping out the map and getting the jump on the enemy, but I have difficulties closing the kill. There are a lot of fights I shouldn't have lost just because of how wild my shots get.

I think I do well with a focused team, but I often get people who run off on their own without the tank, or out in the open when there's a known Widowmaker on the opposing team and after they're gone there's no real hope of me helping to overcome the odds.

Same but the worst part is that I know it's 100% mental. 80% of the time I am doing better, then I choke at the end. Nearly every single time. It's so depressing. Especially on my favorite characters.

That being said 3v3 is easily the best mode (other than high-level competitive which is hard to gain access to) in the game

Total Mayhem is insane and a lot of fun until people realize how broken some of the characters are and then it's like 20 minutes of stalling the same spot. It feels almost impossible to win on Attack unless the enemy team is intentionally using bad characters. Winston, Zarya, Mei and Lucio can practically stall the objective forever

Maybe but competitive play is the only place to get them. You still get exp in comp so you are still earning loot boxes there you just don't get the 3 bonus ones. Yeah you might be earning skins at a slower rate but you can ignore arcade and still get them eventually. If you ignore competitive you will never get the gold guns.

it's more like six bonus boxes. it would take more than 2 dozen matches in comp to level up to get six boxes

I haven't touched quick play or competitive since arcade came out. Not because I prefer arcade, but because by the time I'm done earning my loot boxes I've had my fill of Overwatch for the week and want to spend my time with other games. Definitely agree they need some kind of incentive to play the "real" modes by comparison.
