It's a sliding scale. I know someone with fetal alcohol syndrome but he just has trouble thinking tasks without being told exactly what to do. He's an amazing marine.

there is no way you could date someone with FAS and not notice it. FAS is the ass end extreme of the disorder (not counting death).
