I just imagine the game goes into development and is later released. I then buy it only for it to disappear from my hands and there is a bright flash. My eyes come back into focus to this exact moment when I am reading this thread and all I can groan out is "This cant be happening."

Isn't Silicon Knights basically the equivalent of Rare now, in that the company technically still exists, but the people who made them great are gone?

I mean, Nuts and Bolts wasn't terrible, but it didn't hold up to the legacy either. So I think I'll reserve my excitement for later, since this is not guaranteed to be a good thing...

If it's even slightly as good as the original, it will be amazing.

Not many games top Eternal Darkness. Maybe only 15 or so, ever.

You really can't compare SK to Rare at all.

Rare was a company that made countless AAA titles, then devolved into a Kinect shovelware company.

Silicon Knights doesn't make a lot of games. Eternal Darkness is their only really stellar title - they weren't exactly an amazing bunch before it. After Eternal Darkness, Too Human is pretty much the only video game they made.


Really, as long as Nintendo is publishing it, I'm not worried.
