Wouldn't it cost little to add multiple CD ports and let you choose which game you load?

Do you really want to pay $10 extra for that.

Really

You have no time to ponder such questions, as Link has just grabbed a Smash Ball.

Is it that much of a hassle for you to change discs every time you want to play something else?

the real question is why consoles are still using archaic physical mediums to begin with.

There was this old portable system called the Tiger Game.com that let you have two games in at once.

It was the only good thing about the system, really. >_>

Tell me, do you play more than one game at a time? HMM?

But seriously, why introduce more possibilities for mechanical failure? Nevermind the aforementioned size constraints. There is nothing wrong with swapping a disk, and if it ain't broke, why fix it? Unless the solution can be done cheaper and more effectively that is, like eliminating physical copies altogether. Long live the glorious pc master race :p

Isn't redundancy better for mechanical failures? If one drive breaks and you still have 2 others, I don't see the problem!

They're already pretty cheap on CD ports (a tradition started by Sony). If they had more than one, they'd be even cheaper.

Because getting up to change the disc is the only exercise a lot of gamers ever get.
