Bound to get som negative tags and comments but:

-Star Wars sequels
-Star Wars prequels (more applicable ten years ago I guess. Its still wild to me to see the people who claimed those movies were so terrible now act like theyve always loved them )
-Shrek the Third
-Bays Transformers movies (especially the first three, and especially especially the first two)
-Captain Marvel
-The Marvels
-The two live action Ninja Turtles movies from like a decade ago now
-Suicide Squad

My gut reaction was:

"There were three, and everyone loves the first one."

Then I realized what year a decade ago was.

And now I need some time alone.

Ghostbusters 2016 is another one I really enjoyed. And I say this as someone who puts the original in my top 10 movies.

I could see disliking it if you dont like modern-type comedies, but at least it remembered to be a comedy.

The whole narrative that people created about it being some evil feminist movie trying to ruin the original!!1! is. bizarre.

I get the dig at it for taking an established franchise and gender swapping them instead of making something original cause that just comes off as you hope brand recognition will carruy the weight but at the same time if that is true it doesn't ruin the originals nor did it replace them.

This is the big thing people (intentionally) forget, and not just about Ghostbusters. That movie was one of the absolute worst things I've seen in theaters but, after that, I forgot it existed and moved on with my life.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I love The Phantom Menace, but I definitely view it more favorably than most of the internet, and I enjoy it more than the other prequels by a country mile. I have some warm nostalgic fuzzies over it being one of the first big CGI spectacles, and I still enjoy watching the pod race and Duel of the Fates. The flaws are obvious and I wouldn't put any effort into defending them, but they never irked me as much as they did other people (notably Jar-Jar - he was more irritating than not, but he certainly didn't 'rape my childhood' or any of that nonsense).

By contrast, AotC just plain bores me to tears on top of being thoroughly awful. I put a lot of misplaced faith in RotS to stick the landing for the trilogy overall, and it actively pissed me off with how badly it missed the landing on pretty much all of its big moments, to the point where I still hold a grudge against it (didn't help that it kicked off that wave of mid-00's disappointing threequels, soon to be followed by X-Men 3, Spider-Man 3, and Pirates of the Caribbean 3).

Whenever we had a sub teacher at school, we watched Ferngully. Regardless of which teacher was our, which teacher was subbing, or even if it was a different school entirely.

Then Remember the Titans happened and that became the new sub movie. I haven't seen Ferngully since.

I remember seeing it once at a sitters house. I remember liking it, but forgot about it, even dumped the movie title. About a year later I was digging through our VHS tapes and found a TV recording of the Movie. I watched it all the time after that. Never got to watch it in school though.

I genuinely enjoy all three of them, but Id say that Revenge of the Sith is my fave. Having said that, I do give props to Phantom Menace for feeling the most like the classic Star Wars. And there is definitely a certain nostalgia there for me since I was the target audience for it at 11 years old lol

Agreed. I actually kind of hated the 90 movie as a kid because my only reference at the time was the cartoon and it was just too different. As an adult I appreciate more what they were trying to do but still think it's slightly overrated. Really prefer Out of the Shadows.

They've already been mentioned, but I love Speed Racer and The Last Jedi. I also like Alien 3, although I think it's weaker than the first two Alien movies.

The 1967 version of Casino Royale probably takes the cake for me. It's a total disaster, but it's a mind-melting disaster. Completely absurd on so many levels. The kind of movie that shouldn't exist, but somehow it does. I understand why people hate it, but it's one of my favorite movies because it's such an experience to watch. It's almost more like an amusement-park ride than a movie.
