I haaaaaaaaate hot weather. Summertime is miserable.

It's 83F today, so we're nowhere near peak heat, it'll get upwards of 100F here, plus massive humidity.

Yes. Being too cold is a lot easier to fix than being too hot. Not looking forward to summer

I hate it and live in a desert. Not a fan of the other kind of hot (hot and humid) either.

Both dry/humid heat suck.

Yea.

I live in south carolina so while its not as bad as other states, its still pretty annoying just how long it stays warmer around the year. One of those states where even seeing snow in general is once every other 4 years or so.

To me Its easier to throw on some comfy PJs, house shoes, house coat and cut the heat on a bit to warm up in comparison to stripping down as much as possible, cut on the air condition that may or may not be getting up there in years thus sometimes has a hard time keeping up the cool air depending on how hot it is outside and trying to cool off.

I do dislike it being too hot. While I will find hot weather uncomfortable at times. I won't ever complain about it being too hot.

Unlike the cold which I fucking hate.

I don't like the heat. I moved up north in large part because of that. The winters are obviously worse but to me that's a worthwhile tradeoff for milder summers.

I'm pretty heat tolerant and can do manual labor in 100F with no issues, provided I have enough water and can take breaks.

What is really my limiting factor is that the air quality here usually plummets when it's that hot. I have allergies and respiratory problems, so that takes me out long before the heat will.

Nah. It's a simple matter of proportion.

Like, for me, I'm comfortable around 70F, and the temp generally ranges between 10F and 100F. So the hottest of the hot is only half as far off from comfortable as the coldest of the cold.

I dunno, maybe some people are comfy at 55, which would be halfway between, but that's hard for me to imagine tbh.

Arguments to the effect of you can put on more clothes but can only take off so much, yadda yadda, just don't make sense to me. It just... doesn't get hot enough for that to be a thing. At least not compared to how cold it gets.

this depends on if you're talking indoor / outdoor temps. 55 outdoors is amazing, and i wish it would stay like that year round. indoors, 55 is cold as fuck.

Yes, Ive had heat exhaustion/heat stroke in the past and have been much more sensitive to overheating and regulating my body temperature since then. I tend to sweat profusely in higher temps and can dehydrate very quickly if Im not careful.

I strongly dislike it. Especially the humidity. Summer is my least favorite season. Sure when you get those rare mild days where its like 72F and low humidity its great but when its over 90F with high humidity its fucking miserable and unfortunately it seems like thats what we mostly get.

If I won the lottery Id retire immediately to my dream spot that has a very mild summer that cools off every night to low 50s high 40s and winter lasts like half the year.

I get cluster headaches. When it's hot and humid out and I'm starting to overheat it will set one off if I am in a cycle. It's why I started hiring people to cut my grass.

When I'm not in a cycle I don't really care as long as at isn't super humid.

If the human body is too hot, it sweats. And it's one of the most effective/efficient cooling systems in the animal kingdom. You can replace the lost water by simply drinking more.

If the human body is too cold, it cuts off blood circulation to the extremities and literally sacrifices pieces of itself to keep the major organs slightly warmer for a very limited time.

Give me heat 10000000% of the time with no exceptions. Being cold is miserable. There's no comparison.

are we acting like heat can't kill? you can get heat strokes and die. don't people die trying to cross death valley when it's in a heat wave? be fair on your extremes.

anyway for me, you gotta pick temps. hot vs cold isn't enough. is cold 40F? is cold -10F? this question can be definitively answered if you give actual numbers and ask which you prefer.

I have the misfortune to live in a very humid area, and my body has always run hotter than most other people's.

If other folks are putting on winter coats and shivering, I'm happily standing outside in a T-shirt and jeans.

Conversely, if other folks are wearing tank tops and shorts, I'm guzzling cold drinks right and left while sitting in range of multiple fans in a desperate attempt to prevent myself from roasting to death.

So yeah, I fucking hate summer. Give me winter all-year-round.
