Between this and your comment about self-mutilation I question how familiar you actually are with the series or if you're just going off what you've heard.

I think we've had this discussion before. I read the first three books of the New Jedi Order series, and I hated them. I read a couple of books later in the series and hated them, too.

I'm not gonna read the entire story. I hate the Vong. Retcons and backtracking to make them slightly less ridiculous does not make those original books any less terrible.

So basically you're just spewing nonsense about something you know little about.

In this case, it pretty much is. Same with what happened to the ysalamiri after their debut.

Anyway, I've seen more than enough to know how much the Vong suck. They are the singular lamest, most eye-roll-inducing, aesthetically displeasing, annoying concept ever put into Star Wars.

I am incredibly glad that Disney wiped the whole Legends continuity out of existence, because now the Vong never happened.

True enough, but for a long time it was all we had. Book loyalists were insufferable for decades. I'll admit I experienced some smug satisfaction when Disney nuked the EU and started over.

I was also very happy that Disney decided to deem the EU an alternate continuity and do their own thing as they would've fucked up an adaptation.
