I think I still have mine, I remember my brother had to have his removed but the x-rays showed mine would come in just fine.

I had mine pulled last year because there were cavities growing in the very back corners where it was hard for me to brush. Rather than bother filling them, since they'd likely have the issue again eventually, I had them pulled. I don't regret it, but I do wish I had done it younger.

The recovery in your 30s is way worse than if you do it when they first come in.

Can confirm. Had all 4 of mine pulled last year due to the risk of infection from not being able to brush them properly, even though none were causing me any pain. The recovery was not pleasant at the age of 37. Thankfully I avoided dry socket but I had lower jaw soreness for a few weeks due to how one of them grew in.

I'm on 600mg ibuprofen, and something called tramadol. Its... adequate. But it wears off pretty quick and I'm pretty sure I'm going to run out of pills before I run out of pain.

They did pre emotive pulls of mine when I was 18. Seemed better than waiting for them to impact

How recently did you get a pull? Maybe contact your dentist and see if you can get a course of hydrocodone?

Also you can exceed 600mg ibuprofen if needed. I was taking 1800mg of painkillers at one time (for other pain) when I normally only take 400 (2 pills)

The painkillers were 1000mg naproxen and 800mg ibuprofen combined, for a chest wall pull and a back drop out.

When I was in the military they pulled them in boot camp for prevention. They didn't want it to become an issue later because of the training I was doing. So since they saw I was going to nuclear power school they just pulled them in boot camp.

They had to cut through my gums and go deep to get them. That sucked for about a week. In the long run though it was over and I knew it would never become an issue.

I also fucked around and had all of my wisdom teeth extracted in my 30s (did them all at the same time). It sucked for about 3 days but wasn't really that bad for me, thankfully. The fucking bill was stupid but the procedure itself was fine; I went to sleep because fuck the alternative.

That said, I have mild regrets about it because on the one hand, I'm no longer chewing on the inside of my cheek but on the other, I feel that the rest of my teeth have gone to shit without them and suddenly I've had 2 crowns, 2 extractions, and 2 more crowns lined up. My teeth were never that bad with all of them in my head. It's like taking those out made the rest of my teeth more brittle or something.

Question for anyone. Do the holes left by the wisdom tooth extraction ever fully fill in? Not just heal, but actually fill in like there was no tooth there. I had them extracted late last year and everything healed, but now i have these pockets where food gets trapped.

Yes, but it takes much longer than 2 weeks. it takes at least 2 months or so for the remaining soft tissue to fully heal after the fact.
