Billionaires are at least somewhat honest about where their allegiances lie. The same cannot be said for most politicians, and much less goppers.

Billionaires. Politicians are just the billionaires' cronies for the most part.

Both are equally good or bad.

Billionaires are all about the bottom line.

Billionaires - or, rather, the extremely wealthy - are the root cause of literally every major societal issue, and by extension most non-societal issues, both now and throughout history, by virtue of being extremely wealthy. There's a significant amount of overlap between the extremely wealthy and politicians, but the evil ones are evil because of being in the former group, not the latter.

Another way to look at it: politicians are just players in the game, while the wealthy are the ones who created and perpetuate it.

I think less of politicians. They pretend to want to help the people while lining their pockets. Most billionaires are pretty up front about being greedy shitbags that would gladly screw over the entire world for more money.

Politicians especially those who came from less than stellar backgrounds, to know where you come from and still toe the line if not worse, become a loyal soldier to the people who wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire is just beyond gutless to me, like say Clarence Thomas truly would if presented with a button that would kill like six countries worth of people, everybody would know he did it but he wouldn't get jailed over it he'd not only push it without hesitation he'd defend his decision and dare someone to do anything about it. There's something broken inside of people like that, no empathy or sympathy for anything or anyone and what's worse is that more and more people like him are getting into power and teaching and brainwashing people into believing this is not only acceptable behavior it's the only behavior and mentality a person should have.

yeah thomas is pretty awful. I know hillary said she knew him while both were at yale law school and she was quoted as saying he was a man of great anger

Thomas is just a tool for the billionaire class. The existence of such a class is incompatible with democracy, as US politics is explicitly demonstrating these days.

Politicians have a lot more influence on the quality of life for the citizens and make a conscious decision instead to make things worse.

Generally I think because billionaires are more capable of immediately improving people's lives, almost never actually do that, and usually end up backing people who make things worse, yeah. I don't like billionaires. At all.

Depends. Billionaires like Tom Cook and Elon Musk aren't calling for war, far right cretins in the GOP like Tom Cotton and Marco Rubio are.
