I have scoliosis which I feel may be causing some issues as I grow older. Also, I got a back injury and nerve damage in a car accident when I was 9. Required physical therapy and such.

So my back has always caused some issues. It has gotten worse as I get older and lazier. It's not quite to the point that I feel I need to seek treatment or anything. Just basically a mild ache most of the time, and some pain if do too much. Occasionally I'll get a catch in it that kind of puts me out of commission for a bit.

I don't think any of that is caused by my age(40), but it is making it easier to agitate existing issues.
Do you exercise or stretch at all Koga?

Not necessarily back problems but at some point in my mid/late 20s bending to get clothes out the dryer started not feeling great on my back.

For me it's mostly been like everything that's fallen apart.

At 36 I was diagnosed with severe GERD. A few months later with Burkitt's Lymphoma (caught at stage 1 they believe it's cured now). At 38 my elbows really started bothering me. At 41 I somehow managed to herniate c5, c6, and c7 bad enough to need them fused. This year I'm going to have surgery to get the scar tissue removed and fluid drained from both elbows.

I know most of mine is work related. 3 tons of feed off a truck every 2 1/12 to 3 weeks for 30 years. Jumping up and down out of trucks. Let's not forget neck and shoulder problems caused by trying to prevent a cow from entering a field. I put my arm out and my arm got wrapped around a Crosstie. I spents weeks in a sling. Now that I think about it she might have been the same one who stepped on both my ankles.

the only back problems I ever had were when I was a kid, and I was growing.

they were very brief, and only happened a few times in my life.

my mom called them "growing pains", but idk.

besides that, I've been pretty lucky.

...but I guess there were times I let myself get stiff with not exercising for a while, and getting cramps.
