I find it entertaining, especially for bombastic or "you dun fucked up" reasons.

My job is to sue on behalf of people who've been unlawfully fired.

Lots of it is kinda boring but I've seen lots of wild shit

That could be humorous from the other side. People coming at your firm all hot saying stuff like "I WANT TO SUE THESE ASSHOLES, HOW DARE THEY FIRE ME, THEY ARE GONNA BE SOOOOO SORRY," then it turns out they came into work drunk off their ass and mooned a customer or something.

Yeah there's always gonna be a percentage of extreme liars, which comes with the territory. It's only a small minority, though. Cases like discrimination can be pretty hard to prove, so it's an uphill battle even if they have a run-of-the-mill case.

Other times though, they just straight up lie to you and it's like -_- did you think we wouldn't find out?

I've been around when people have been fired

2 examples were drinking on the job, one went to the pub during his lunch break, he came back and got fired on the spot. A woman got fired but in her case she did it in the Woman's toilets.

Only time Ive been close to this was when I had a flash drive of emails asking to do illegal stuff like work off the clock on agendas/updates and stuff like that and then was fired for refusing a promotion to a position I was demoted out of 3 months prior with a $2 pay cut (cause company thought it was easy and then they couldnt replace me with anyone but still wanted to low ball me).

Then I learned even in California that wasnt really a case since no one would take it and not gonna lie that was an eye opening experience lol. You ever see similar issues that arent necessarily grey but relate to general public misconceptions?

$2 pay cut

fuck pay cuts. they offer a reasonable raise for the extra responsibility if worker can handle it.

i technically gotten fired from a paper route because i had to move on one occassion (outside delivery area) and because i gotten burned out (2nd time).

Yeah, even though it's usually for something boring.

But the hospital director at my wife's job was immediately fired a couple of years ago, and not a single person working there knows why, so it's likely a big deal.

You generally have to object or refuse to participate in the illegal activity and then be fired for that (helps if it's shortly after the objection/refusal). The company will always say that they fired you for something else, but that's why the specific facts of each case are important. But yeah like I said, even if there is a potential case, lots of law firms/lawyers won't touch it because they're so hard to win.
