Even if it isn't allowed, Nintendo would have to actually acknowledge that the Philips CD-i and the CD-i Zelda games existed (which they really, really don't want to do given the shaky history and commercial failure of that system and those games) to pursue legal action over the use of Morshu. If it were using the CD-i versions of Link or Zelda, then they could and probably would pursue legal action based on the use of those characters since they appear in other media, but for Morshu, he only existed in those CD-i games that Nintendo would rather just never acknowledge again. --- https://i.imgur.com/PmF1p9q.jpg ...
