to be fair i dont have 99 cooking lol, i'm a noob with under 1200 total skill level

maybe i'll get 99 cooking in my life but right now my ultimate ultimate OSRS goals are getting barrows gloves (i've unlocked dragon gloves so far), 85 mining for rune ore because it was something i never did as a kiddo but got close to, and getting fire cape,

after that i feel like im just gonna dick around doing slayer and continue watching OSRS twitch streams for the vibes + giveaways

i just checked and i have never completed dragon slayer 1 so im not able to wear a rune plate mail and have to wear granite as an upgrade to adamant armour. tho i guess i can just wear dragon armour instead

I really want Torva armor which is the best in slot for melee, sad thing is that the entire set costs over 1 billion GP and I could never make that much since I'm a noob, i'd have to hope to win giant once in a blue moon giveaways on twitch to get Torva armor lol

my bank's total value is 169 million but most of that is from winning giveaways over the last 3 and a half months

also you can wear some pieces of dragon armor without doing dragon slayer 1 but you can't wear the dragon chest plate without doing dragon slayer 1, dragon slayer 1 applies to both rune chest plate and dragon chest plate

thanks for the info man i had forgotten about that requirement for dragon chest plate. I guess I can just wear the chainbody lol. Good luck on the giveaways man! it is unfortunate that the duel arena is no longer a thing for quick GP.

My current bank is around 200M too. I used to have up to 8.6b (pic below is my alt account "omelette" w/ the gp sometime around 2018). I legit lost majority of this next day -_-. I wasaiming for double digit billions ffs!!!!! My alt probably isnt on the hiscores because its stats are too low just fyi. Just used it to bring GP to an RS buddy of mine who used to stake for me while I was skilling.

I lent him this GP and we split the earnings like maybe 70/30? I was pretty generous iirc. He changed his username sometime in 2021 so whoever has his username now is not him.

that'd be cool to see tbh. I've participated in a few drop parties in falador since i quit officially just for like an hour or so every couple months or weeks. Won maybe 5m gp total in armour pieces. Honestly probably less. Never tried the giveaways on twitch though.

also i got offtopic a bit sorry. I am actually surprised that there are armour pieces in the 1b range now wtf. That's like 3rd age longsword price back when I played religiously (it was like 1.4b at one point i remember). I see that many items have dropped in price and some others have increased (like elysium shields were 300m and now over 700m.. wtf?).

You have a higher slayer, thieving, and attack level than me.

Much higher quests points than me as well so you've done some of the more difficult ones already. You did mention barrows gloves earlier and having dragon gloves already. I'm not even close to getting either of them. I did try at one point but gave up.

I double-checked my bank and it is apparently worth 347m now. I'm adding the endurance ring on top of it which is around 30m and stuck in my inventory im because im out of bank space [f2p].

The value is spread over a bunch of items though. My cash stack is just under 4m. i lost around 6 billion gp from the duel arena and whatever i had left i just spent on buyable skills including the 200m construction xp.

At most, a stack or single item will have a 30m value from a glance like the soul runes and ring of endurance.

Im pretty sure my bank was in the 200m range last time i checked about a year or two ago. So some items must've increased in price but not sure what.

the translucent items aren't counted to the bank total and i don't have them anymore. just old tags from like 2019 or so.

Ohh deathmatching is a term im not familiar with but I looked it up. Definitely looks more skill-based than staking at the duel arena with tentacle whip and no armour. I can see consistent earnings with that one

yeah I was sad af when I lost most of my gp lmao. I kept repeating the losses in my head for a few days afterward. almost quit the game at the time

never played WoW, that said Old School Runescape is the perfect game that mostly requires little attention when you're doing other stuff like watching twitch/youtube or listening to podcasts and shit

there are times when you need to pay full attention like during raids/PVPing/bossing but otherwise it's the perfect "i can multitask while playing this game" game

Desert Bus 2: Electric Boogaloo

i've tried WoW in the past but couldnt get into it. not really into serious raiding and pvm stuff.

i mainly played runescape for the chill skilling and multi-tasking. used to train its non-combat skills while watching shows and reading ebooks lol. it's kinda like cookie clicker but more interactive i guess.

seeing the xp gains at the end of the day through crystalmathlabs used to give me a dopamine rush legit. and seeing the month total gave me a bigger rush if i broke through 250 efficient hours played (100% xp rate = 1 ehp. i was around like 50% xp rate the entire time since higher xp per hour meant way more clicking for most skills through tick manip). That said i did get invited to some clan where like a good chunk of its members were doing 400 hour+ ehp months which was fucking crazy to me since there are only like 720 hours in a month. no way i could ever no life that hard lol.

the social aspect was OK too but eventually got fed up w/ the drama on discord w/ people doxxing each other. probably happens in many other communities tbf.

If we all just shitpost 2 posts every 2 minutes, we could end this giveaway in 3 days

damn i checked through hans (npc on runescape that tells you your ingame hours) for ingame hours which is 5763. I played for 22 months total. that means i averaged 8 hours of Runescape playing a day for a 22 months timespan. i was also working like a 10-12 hour job for the first like 14 months of this shit.

I started off playing maybe like 4-6 hours a day for the first year or so too on the weekdays (weekend would've been like 11-16 hours prob) and ramped it tf up as time went on until i burnt out by the 22nd month. i do remember playing like up to 19 hours straight when i took a month leave off work.

wait honestly i needed runescape in my life for those 14 months. the extra 8 months was just needed for closure on that part of my life =]

im serious too because i got to meet some absolute scum on discord through runescape and realized i didn't wanna have the type of outlook on life that they had. i was getting pretty close to my mind getting poisoned by them a few times too but i broke free!!!!!!!!

my mind was already somewhat on their trail of toxic thought prior to playing runescape. Got my brain poisoned a bit by a few forums when I was a teenager. I just saw the advance version of it in those few servers and I found it revolting after spending some time on them (14 months). Their extreme example led me to start derailing from my old thoughts and It just took another year and another catalyst for it to be completely purged

The final 8 months (the closure) took place a year and a half later tbh. I did not socialize with any of those toxic discord when I played in this period. Just wanted to complete 200m fishing xp (left it off at 62m). This was the main thing calling me back to the game..

About 7 months later I achieved it and after a quick dopamine hit from that I played another month crafting soul runes (foolishly attempting 200m rc which would have taken like 5000 hours with this method ). Got burnt out and quit. This was around March of 2021 iirc. So 3 years ago

I havent had the urge to seriously play again since then. I just log in every few months now to chat random stuff with f2p players lol. But yeah i don't think ill have another osrs resurgence.

I do still like talking about the game though tbh and there were some good times on it with less toxic players for sure.
