Not like one of those movies where you know you are following the bad guy. But a movie that treats the protagonist as a good guy and yet you think that he or she is just wrong.

Both of these go on the same lines of thinking. Ready Player One and Surrogates.

The message of both of these is that some Random dude should be able to control what you do if you think they have too much screen time. And think about people who may have disabilities or want their bodies to be something else. These VR terminals are the perfect way for them to walk and live happily.

Pretty much any movie from the 80s. For example, Revenge of the Nerds, where the audience is supposed to cheer for a rapist and a bunch of dudes committing various sex crimes.

Arguably The Matrix, in that they pull people from their blissful world, where they probably have a family already, and draft them into a war under the guise of saving them, and treat blue pills in the system as expendable.

The first movie highlights this point, but then undermines it by making Cypher a dick about it instead of sympathetic.

I write my post with the VR stuff in mind. But that is great one. Besides the literal rape. They put camera in the girls dorm with the help a child. And just spend days watching it. The Bullies were horrible too. But they were shown as bad. I think the nerd did a goat too. I only saw movie once years ago.

Where instead of making the best path of ending the game by lying/failing a dare the main character decides to instead bring the entire human race into it to save her own skin

Kinda the opposite of what TC wanted, but I know Cpl Upham from Saving Private Ryan (the coward character) gets a ton of hate online. His cowardice got his friend stabbed to death etc

But I've always sympathised with him since he signed up to be a non combatant

Basically when someone is put into an extreme situation without their consent they can't be judged too harshly by their actions

Wakanda has a magical vibranium herb, they only give it to the king. Atlantis has a magical vibranium herb, and they give it to everyone in the group. The Atlanteans were better than the Wakandans.

Its very much a sign of how times have changed, but the protagonist is seemingly portrayed to be suave and charming but hes like super creepy and gross towards the main lady character, and is generally kind of a dick.

Creature design is cool but the movie holds up pretty weakly compared to most of the Universal monsters.

Probably Cabin in the Woods honestly.

Like, yeah, the whole ritual thing was fucked up, but by the end of the movie, the guy was dying either way. It was just a matter of whether or not the rest of humanity was dying along with him, and they kind of just said fuck it, let everyone die.

Speaking of Segal, the famous bar scene in Out for Justice (Anybody seen Richie!?). Hes smashing their glasses and shoving people before they even come close to attacking him, heck, it wasnt until he disarmed himself and dared them to do it. They had every right to tell the trespassing fucker to get out.
