I wonder how much people actually do love Charizard versus how much they just over push it and fulfill the prophecy themselves. Just like Pikachu. I'm sick of Pikachu. It was never appealing to me. Eevee could just as easily have been the mascot and I'm confident a lot more people like Eevee than Pikachu.

And to switch franchises for a sec, just like Goku and Vegeta. Those two saving the day is beyond old by now. Goku's appeal died with him against Cell, and Vegeta's character arc ended after Kid Buu (which Super is determined to ignore).

Umm actually Alolan Meowth doesn't evolve at all. Just like how Johto Linoone and Kanto Farfetch'd don't evolve, Alolan Meowth's evolutionary line ends with Meowth. It doesn't need to evolve because it's already a perfect pokeyman. That's just a picture of Garfield. Easy mistake, I know.

No. That's not right. That's a cute fan edit, but we all know Alolan Meowth doesn't evolve. And you claim all Alolan forms evolve, yet Alolan Muk, Raticate, and Raichu do not evolve and Meowth is just the same. It's simply a one stage pokeyman and it needs no further enhancement. Evolving into Garfield like you claim it does would simply sour the whole species. And seeing as it is easily one of the best species in the series, we know it has not been soured by any such evolution.

Honestly I'm more interested in them keeping Megas AWAY from pokemon that are already strong, especially any legendary pokemon. But I'm not so naive as to think they're that self aware.

Anyway, if I had to pick one to get it, I think I'd go for Roserade. A lot of others that probably need it more, but most of the ones I'd rather pick are one or two stage evolutions, so I'd rather leave the door open to them getting true evolutions later. Of the three stagers in the Kalos dex, they're one of those in need of a boost, and I like the design.
