It is pointless. You shouldn't take that as permission to whine and bitch and never do anything though. Because your life is pointless, it's also not special and you haven't earned your little pity parties and tantrums over how meaningless you are to society and the world and all of existence. Just stay out of the way and keep your mouth shut if you're not going to contribute like the cog you are. The world doesn't need broken pieces.

Nope. I learned long ago how to actually live for myself. A lot of the time, life really is what you make of it. I know thats easier said than done, but you gotta learn how to live within your means and try make the best of what youve got.

I very clearly don't find it the slightest bit depressing that there's no grand purpose to life. I would find it incredibly depressing if there was a grand purpose and that purpose was to be a slave to some omnipotent god.

Life is what you make of it and I wouldn't want it to be any other way.

On topic: Yes. That means that if I want to take a week off work to play a video game, there is nothing wrong with that. I don't need to feel guilty about not striving to some higher purpose. Accepting that life has no greater purpose is liberating.
