I dont have a town read on any of the 3 nessisarily. But I also don't have a scum read on Peaf or Chris. I do have inclines of thinking Chris is Scum by playing similar to a couple Scum games on MU but idk.

I was wondering if we should talk about this as a group or leave it to people individually.

I think there's merit to having a pseudo mass claim in private. But can also be manipulated by scum getting town info that town doesn't have. Probably best to just leave it to each person's own judgement?

Is a full claim considered going "all the way" on your date?

We stand very little to gain from claiming tonight. In the unfortunate scenario where one scum is paired with one town, scum would have info on three town claims and could narrow down a kill pool very easily.

Don't claim privately unless the person you're with is confirmed town.

I would say it's significantly further than going all the way, like 11th base, minimum. Though hundreds of thousands may have seen my body, only me and my lord Chang know what my mafia role looks like.

That being said, it's a good opportunity to try and screw with scum or test them. Everyone likes love tests, right?

In theory scum could immediately kill someone who claimed something juicy in private so definitely be careful. If you're going to full claim do it at the last moment.

And Death I will consider you in the lead at the moment but I am more interested in Peaf and Sir Chris townreads (or better multiple) I think. Mostly because Dumey seems to have people openly on both sides.

Dumey - Not necessarily because I hard read him as scum, but he might be scum and the fact that so many interactions today have involved him I think it could provide a useful data point.
Corrik - He hasn't done anything yet. He's welcome to change my mind, but he needs to realize that his standard "see you on day 2 meta" isn't going to fly in a game like this.

Not sure about a 3rd at this time. Maybe red for idling safely? Maybe ulti for giving red a bed to sleep in? Either way they protect each other today, but they bear looking at moving forward.

Keep alive:
Lopen - Don't have a scum read on him yet and when Lopen is active there is a certain level of sharpness that he brings to a game that I think is positive and forces people to be more committal and less wishy-washy.
Kirby - I wouldn't be willing to share a room with you otherwise. This doesn't mean it's a 100% full town read and I would still be trying to read you during the night phase, but I hate the notion of being personally responsible for scum not dying and will be trying my hardest to not cause that.

And again a 3rd is hard to find. Maybe Chris for similar reasons to Lopen. But I don't love how quickly he offered me a room after starting the game saying we shouldn't be hasty. I know he explained it by saying he wanted to "calm my rage", but then he should know that it was the fact that it was ulti specifically that contributed to my outburst.

Really there's a lot of people I still want to see more from today and maybe that will help clarify who else deserves to live :D

Unfortunately, you're not on my "absolutely must save" list. That being said, you're not on my "leave in the dust" list, either. But as for saves, I'd add Chris on there simply because it's difficult to figure out his alignment this early on. Would rather not gamble on someone who could potentially be a vital townie, not until D2 at least.

I'd also add JC to the list. He hasnt done much of anything, and that's why I want someone to prod him all night long. Same can't be said for Corrik, who I feel you're not gonna get much out of anyway even during the night.

Yeah I was thinking more from the perspective Lopen brought up of scum learning an individual spicy role from someone. But Kirby makes sense with narrowing the pool even if it's all three Vanillas that scum learns about.

Oh absolutely, I'm not going anywhere and I'll be speaking out against players who pair early and coast (looking at red atm).

But by that same token I want to see how the unpaired start to respond to the pressure of dwindling options. And if there is a scum that is unpaired then a previously paired scum may start looking for an excuse to breakup to be available for their straggling ally.

With respect to claims this game, if everyone waits to pair up we kind of create a situation where claims only happen at the eleventh hour. You can't really force claims otherwise.

Given the high number of people already paired up I wouldn't mind trying to force a claim and then decide whether or not we move on but I'm open to peoples' thoughts on that.

like if i pair up with lea, you could pair up with chris and then he's off the table entirely

Yeah see thats what I was affraid of, since that excludes those who already paired up and could mean we are just forcing town to claim

Honestly, with the current list, I predict that someone will bring Corrik to D2, someone will bring Chris to D2, someone will bring Isquen to D2, someone will bring Lea to D2. So the people likely to be left out in the cold are probably you two, Death and JC, and Lopen. If Peaf breaks up with me, then we are also in that pool. That's just my intuition of how players usually treat these players in normal games though.

The only person who has gotten major heat so far has been Dumey. Though both Dumey and Lopen have been shading Chris a bit.

But I think by far if we were going to force a claim out of anyone, it'd be Dumey. But he has no pressure to claim unless Peaf breaks up with him.

I'm more inclined to let the day play out and the date pool dwindle even further. I wouldn't discount a scum trying to blend in with town by not appearing too desperate for a date. If anyone's going to claim, the pressure will be on peeps who haven't agreed to a date yet.

Also some people are acting as if its a decision that has to be made right now when its not time yet even for the date mechanic change.

Definitely not a fan of Kirby saying that stuff either

I definitely still want to be with you even though I fully expected you to dump me with 6 hours and 1 minute remaining prior to your Lopen outburst.

Of the unmatched people i think I'd really only be interested in pairing up with death or jc. Even though I'm a bit suspicious of death, I think I am pretty good at reading him (absent him being an indie... which we know isn't possible this game!) and extra 1:1 time with him would really help me narrow him down.
Jc seems like a pleasant guy to spend some alone time with. I don't have any kind of read on him at all.

Kirby or lea dying is my preference at this time. Lopen, even ignoring yesterday, just wouldn't be fun to talk to or butt heads against. But I'm not confident in any "read" I think I have on him.

Everyone else I'm kinda eh about. With isquen i don't think I'll come into d2 with much new learning or understanding with him as my partner. Chris and corrik would be "fine" but certainly not a strong preference.
