Just click the play button and a guy will start speaking out the frequency that's playing. I start becoming aware of it as it moves into 17k and can clearly hear it at 15k. Don't put your audio too loud because the frequency is unpleasant to hear.

Apparently you lose access to these highest frequencies as you age, but I can't imagine it's very important in practice.

8 Khz is where the test stops. This is testing the upper range of hearing.

Kids can hear 20 KHz. Adults 15-17 is normal.

You should probably use headphones for this. I heard 15 KHz through my phone speaker.

I can hear a faint buzz around 19, but hear it clear as it slides from 18 to 17.

There's not much that can be done about it, as my hearing in the voice range is mostly fine. Just some anime girls that exceed that range can be hard to understand.

can't even hear 8 though haven't tried with headphones.

i use hearing aids btw(not for the test)

Tinnitus makes it a little difficult to tell exactly when I can start hearing it, but it was somewhere between 15 and 16.

I started hearing the noise at 16. I might have heard something at 17 but I'm not sure.

I can hear up to 23khz, and I know a girl who can hear upwards of 26khz in normal settings, and 29khz in controlled settings. she's probably the most talented musician I know, and I'm wondering if her extended hearing range has helped

I really thought I would do better in something like this, interesting if it is still as loud in higher ranges but you just can't hear it. I do have tinnitus but I don't think that influenced the test.

Yeah, 200mb up and down is enough

after five eyes you have one for every dimension and it just starts getting silly.

I'm vaguely aware of it around 18 and clearly hear it around 15.

Same here. I started to hear something at 13kHz, but it was unexpected and only a blip. I didn't hear it when I went back a second time.
My hearing has been pretty bad since an ear infection I had when I was 16. My audiology results have consistently shown the same loss as an adult so I'm not worried about continued decline. 16K for sure. Around 18-17 I just get a sense of something off. Like when you can sense a TV is on in another room.

Yeah, dogs can hear frequencies twice as high as humans. Cats can hear frequencies twice as high as dogs.

Tag to check this out when I have headphones, but I've got a random dead spot to a certain frequency in my right ear. I can hear higher and lower normally. I also wish it hadn't been pointed out to me because it didn't bother me up to then. (See also my need to take off my glasses to see up close.)
