But that's okay, because Trump is an even worse option; voting is mandatory; and there are no other options.

(In fairness, at least one of the three statements is true, which is a better track record than Trump supporters tend to have.)

Technically you can vote for a third party candidate.

How are we ever going to get out of the two-party system if we don't vote for a third party? Though I understand why people wouldn't vote for Robert Kennedy jr.

You have to start with local, county, then state elections, while also advocating for ranked choice.

This.

Voting for one of the big two, especially if your only reason is "I don't like the other one of the big two", is also specifically voting for the two-party system.

Push for ranked-choice voting. If we had that we could feasibly end up with more than two major parties.

Ironically, going into this particular election cycle with this exact mentality will bring us all much closer to a one-party system than a three-party one.

Voting for a 3rd party simply because they aren't "the big two" is certainly not a coherent way to fix the system.

I have to ask what they've been doing these past 4 years.

Have they actually been trying to change the system, or did only remember about the two-party system now that presidential elections are coming up?

No, of course not. I find "3rd party voters" tend to just expect everyone to agree with them and vote for "3rd parties" simply on account of them not being democrat or republican then we move onto the last step of drawing the rest of the fucking owl.

It's what they couldn't answer in 2016 when asked why they were pushing for candidates like Jill Stein and Gary Johnson who were just as bad as Donnie was.

Discuss how it is that we arrived at a point where this is literally the best the Democrats could do
Discuss whether there should be age limits on incumbent candidates
Discuss how age factors into job performance in any field
Consider the ramifications of a president dying of old age in office, or even just declining mentally

Would be quite interesting and horrific for dementia or other age related health issues to set in , for example. Maybe we could talk about that?

You know, just how discussions work

What makes it not the best Dems could do? Why do people act as if magically having a younger Biden means they'll be more popular?

Democrats and Republicans who work with him, multiple times have noted that he is very sharp.

The 25th amendment is how we take care of a president dying or becoming unable to do the job while in office. Not sure what other ramifications you mean

Of course the "Biden's age" issue is a proxy. This shit is coming from Republicans who are unable to say anything positive about their candidate or party without it being an immediately obvious lie.

So they spew shit like this topic to see how many useful idiots they can fool into working against themselves.
