I know which enemies you're referring to, and they're not so bad. You can't attack them from the front, so you need to get the from the sides and behind, or stomp on them with Mario, and use Rabbid Peach's or Luigi's Sentry. Plus you can reallocate your skill tree at any time outside of a battle to deal with the situation, like having more HP. I probably need to scour some wikis It has a steep learning curve, but the first few chapters are easy enough you can get away by equipping basic masteries and play it simple. Only the violent cases require extra effort.
