What confused me about him is that Bears fans are usually never shy of criticizing their players, especially their QBs, but for some reason Fields was just treated differently. A lot of the fanbase seemed to just be looking through rose-colored glasses when viewing the guy, blaming everyone but him for his shortcomings. There was recently even some chatter from some fans thinking they'd get a 1st rounder for the guy. That was never gonna happen.
