Ye is my favorite living artist. However I don't rock with him anymore for some of his actions. And at the same time I can't hate him. Since he is mentally ill. But I can't support his work anymore due to his horrible actions and hopes that he gets the help that he needs.

I'm never sure how I feel about Mike Love of the Beach Boys. He has a talent of clearing things up and me being OK with him then saying something stupid to screw it up.

I cant really separate the art from the artist, aside from a few unique cases like with Lovecraft. Once I learn someone is a scumbag I have issues with consuming media theyre in. Latest example is Dissection, I liked the sound of the music but I cant enjoy it anymore after learning about this piece of shit bigot, glad he killed himself. Goes for black metal in general, good sounding music but often trash humans that destroy their genre.

I mean, loads probably. Especially if I met them.

But if the art is good enough in their judgement, people will make exceptions.

I don't know if I necessarily "hate" any of them, becasue I don't know them personally, but there are a few that I would have a tough time supporting a new project they release.

But I can't retroactively all of a sudden think a song/movie/TV show is all of a sudden not good becasue a person involved with it isn't a good person.

Like, no matter what he did, The Cosby Show is still one of the funniest family-oriented sitcoms in TV history. Nothing will change that.
