It's Incredible this topic wasn't closed already. Starting to learn some of the current CE lore. So when is the next s.a.s topic. I didn't vote btw. Even though I feel like this is a sort of swingers thing.

No, absolutely not.

If you were a prime Leonardo DiCaprio or Ashton Kutcher, if you could walk into any bar or club in the world and walk out with a beautiful stranger on your arm, an open marriage might be worthwhile. But if you're anything short of that, her opportunities to find another partner are going to far exceed your own.

Really depends where you are in the world.

My options (especially appealing ones) would greatly outnumber what just about any partner would get over here.

Still dont want an open relationship though.

The idea of Swingers is freaking hilarious though. They even named a movie after it in the 90s based off Swing music. I think commit and marriage ya shouldn't fool around, but eh religion has fallen by the wayside. And I still have my traditional thoughts.

How is this different than myb a three way? Are there four ways?

I can't even handle more than 1 email address or account here. Polyamory isn't for me and I don't want to be with someone who is.

I voted yes, but its more like I wouldn't be opposed to one. I'm not really interested in marriage anyway.

If I find someone who's worth the trouble, then sure. But that's probably a 1 out of 4 billion chance I find someone that special.

Eugh. Not accusing you of it, but the idea marriage as this sort of settling concept is so gross to me. Like, I'm gonna get married because I want only my girl. Full emotional investment. Full everything investment.

Right, but maybe some people can handle full investment into two people. After all, if you bear children, you'd have to split your time between your wife and then your child, right?

I'm not speaking of polygamy, though I'll admit to side-eyeing it. I mean more the example of being in an open relationship on the basis of being able to pull a lot of tail.

Yeah, being able to pull a lot of tail, as you put it, doesnt make me more open to having an open relationship.

I'm selfish. I'm much more open to the idea of being shared than actually sharing. Not that I'm interested in marriage in the first place.
