I bought an Xbox one and only played halo 4 on it. So I guess technically ya, but I thought I would end up playing more games and just never did.

Kinda, my xbox broke and traded it in towards a PS2 for Vice City.

Way back in 2006, a friend showed me the trailer for the upcoming Bioware game called Mass Effect. We had both loved Kotor, BG2, so this immediately made me decide that I would have to get a 360.

I had no plans to buy a PS3 or 360 up to that point, but that single game pushed me to Microsoft.

I bought a PS4 in 2014 because I thought the entire FF7 remake would be released on it. Instead it just got part 1 lmao. Fuck you Square

The fewest games I've had was 3 games for Gamecube.

I wouldn't say "just for one" but I've had one game push me to finally buy one. I was content with my GameCube for a while but eventually got a PS2 slim for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but later got other games for it. Likewise, I got Xbox for Morrowind, but later played a lot on it.

GameCube for Metroid Prime.

Wii U for Super Mario Maker.

Several times.

I learned PC building so I could play Skyrim at launch with a cool rig.

I got a PlayStation 4 to play Persona 5 (and Kingdom Hearts III, I guess)

I got a Switch at launch to play Breath of the Wild.

And I wanted a GameCube for Christmas to play Melee.

Yup. Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast. Greatest gaming experience of my life. Than you bring in Soul Calibur, Marvel vs Capcom, and Power Stone. DC is the goat for me.

I bought a PlayStation for Final Fantasy VII.

Should point out that buying a console because of one game does t mean its the only game you bought.

I bought a PS5 for FF16 as the main motivation. I also got GOW Ragnarok but I should have waited for PC for both.

Sort of, as a wrestling fan I ended up getting a PS4 for a WWE game but over half a year later I expanded my collection because of some damn good PS2 classics I had to grab and they are cheap too!!!

Not intentionally, but it ended up that way. I bought a PS4 when Anthem was being hyped up, my friends at work all had PS4 and I had Xbox One. I had been dragging my feet on getting a PS4. So, I finally got one figuring I can play Spiderman and Horizen Zero Dawn and then we can all play Anthem when it came out. Then Anthem flopped, nobody got it and the only thing I've really used the PS4 to play is Spiderman and a bit of Horizen.

Yeah I bought a ps4 just to play the Amplitude reboot

I also backed the Amplitude reboot for $350 on Kickstart even though I did not have a console to play it on at that time
