I got mine from launch and I still own it. At the minute it's packed away but I will keep hold of it as I have some virtual console NES/ SNES games saved on it. Switch doesn't have the option to buy these anymore as it adopted the subscriber model for it's back catalogue.

As someone who was burned by it and enjoyed the Wii U less than the Virtual Boy, the Switch is probably their best platform since the Gamecube, and I'm including portable devices as well.

Yep, I am playing it even. Got a date with Dire Moralis and am not ashamed to use the online while it lasts to get there. The online closure has really trigger my FOMO and I have been playing a lot of these consoles lately. I guess I am a born again Wii U and 3DS player now

Still have one, bad gimmick but the Wii U Tablet is nice to hold. Great purchase for me on sale at Best Buy when DKC Tropical Freeze came out plus I never had a wii so it was fun to dip into that library. Last Nintendo system I had that I really cared about was the SNES. G/C and N64 I never went very deep in with and had them as stop gaps or resells or just at friends places I'd play a lot of Mario Party haha

I didn't like the console, but I'd still say so. Even besides the homebrew, it still has Xenoblade X and Gamecube Zelda remasters.

I remember actually using the direct call thing connect when a mutual friend moved to Las Vegas. I am sure I have some old pictures on my laptop the vid and voice quality was clear too but you could doodle on each other's screen with the tablet. So pointless but it was neat. Draw that mustache on your live friend or whatever dumb shit.

Obvs all those services are gone even the Wii U shop I think.
