It sounds like TC doesn't understand how amino acids can become more complex molecules until suddenly they become self-replicating and life.

Life didn't just pop out of no where. Single cell organisms also took more than 2 billion years to even evolve into the first multicellar organisms. Than it's been another 600+ million years to get to where we are today.

No one knows. Maybe one day we'll know how this all happened and what's out there.

The original post is stupid; however, science has no explanation really for the existence of conscience thought. Not just for humans, but animals too. Its the only reason Im not a 100% confident atheist. Its too hard to believe that evolution could result in consciousness.

Because we can look backwards through time through telescopes and the cosmic microwave background to give us a very good understanding as to the conditions of each phase of the universe's birth.

Crediting god with creating the universe doesn't really answer anything, just shifts the question from "where did the universe come from" to "where did god come from", and if you can conceive of a god that has no creator and has always existed, seems like you should be able to conceive of existence itself in the same way.

Despite there being a LOT we still don't know, I don't think the average person understands how much we actually DO know about the universe and life and how it works.

If you're really interested in answering a lot of these questions for yourself you could look into some of the amazing advances we have made in the last few decades in understanding the universe.

But the universe would still be confined by the limits of what we see as rational logic, God would not.

The scientific knowledge were confronted with is honestly way more mind blowing and fantastic than any religious parable.

Imagine a religious story that describes the big bang and how it happened just so, so that these laws of physics fall into place. Then bits of star formed heavier elements just so, so it was close enough but not too close to a fully formed star. And somehow that soup of heat and elements formed microorganisms. And somehow those microorganisms were driven to reproduce themselves. And they got better at it. So good at it that they somehow conjured a toolset in place to become more complex to the point they eventually can fire off bits of electricity that contemplate themselves.

Shits wild.

I cant possibly right all this off as deity or happenstance. My imagination fails to contain or define it.

Yeah that's what I was gonna say. God is cheat mode, exists outside of time and space/laws of reality so that doesn't apply.

They've found organic material on asteroids, so likely from one that crashed into Earth.
