If yes how do you feel about this phenomenon about yourself? Are you okay with it?

I'm thinking about investing in a full body massage machine for my back and body aches as well.

I used to pride myself on my high level of patience and understanding. But then these damn modern teenagers came along.

Fuck them kids, and it's only getting worse.

No. I'm 38, and I'm happier and more optimistic than I was in my 20s.

I wouldn't describe myself as grumpy, but I do have anger issues that rears its head from time to time.

Id say its more like my contempt for humanity increases with every year.

Tbh, I am in a positive mood atm given what has happened in my house throughout the years

add to that the kinda work I did in life, whew life is great

i do get set off to say none the less but I believe optimism goes a LONG way

i was getting that way for a while, but i have more happi days than angry ones now. maybe even by a lot

I don't really think I've ever been a "grumpy" kinda guy. I did have a huge problem controlling my temper as a kid, though. Like some serious issues. I can still remember the exact moment that I realized I had a problem and needed to do something about it when I was 19.

I've been a competitive league/tournament bowler since I was 9. Well one league night I was bowling legitimately the best I had ever bowled up to that point. I finished with a 796, a good 40-50 pins higher than my previous best. By all accounts, I should have been thrilled. But an 800 or higher for a 3-game series is an award score (you literally get a trophy and a ring from the USBC for it). The only thing I could think about after I finished was the fact that I had blown the 800 by missing an easy spare in the last frame of the last game. I had just bowled the best series of my life, and I was so pissed off I broke the front door as I stormed out of the bowling alley.

Lost a couple hundred bucks and a LOT of respect from the rest of the bowlers that night. A couple of them just straight up refused to talk to me the rest of the season. v_v But it was the slap in the face I needed, and I finally decided to find someone to talk to. It's taken a lot of work, but I've never lost my temper even once since then. I remember one league night a couple years after the incident, one of the other team's bowlers was trying to talk shit and get in my head until his teammate literally said "don't waste your time, it's impossible to get that guy riled up." Frankly, I was damn proud of myself when I heard that.

As I grow older my physical pain becomes worse so yes I become more grumpy

Yeah my patience is getting lower as I age. I used to have a mile long fuse, now my tolerance for morons is limited.

No, all the people in the world are getting more pleasant so it just appears Im getting grumpier

I'm less grumpy. What I am, is tired. Too tired to even be grumpy.

I'd say I'm mentally happier, even if I'm physically worse than ever.

I think this is an accurate assessment.

I mean the past four months or so have been the best I've felt in years, largely because I find myself giving less and less of a shit about what others think

Yeah. It was your typical steel-frame glass door. I shoved it angrily to open it as I was leaving, but others were coming in from the outside so there was no pressure in that little enclosed entryway between the doors. So instead of it slowing immediately due to the air pressure, it swung unopposed into the wall HARD and split the glass from corner to corner.

i don't have much of a memory of my younger years (depression be a bitch) but i wouldn't say i'm grumpy.

definitely less happy tho. probably
