I was 9 when I first played this so I dont know how obvious it was to everyone else, but I did NOT see this coming and the more this conversation went on the more of a fucking anxiety attack I was having. And the moment at 3:09 made me scream.

Waking up from a nap in Oblivion to find Lucien LaChance standing over me. Somehow on my first playthrough I had completely missed the rumor about how the Dark Brotherhood recruits new members, and I just randomly decided to murder someone to see if I could get away with it, not expecting anything to come of it afterwards.

It was quite possibly the most immersed I've ever been in a video game. I remember furiously taking hand-written notes on every little detail he was telling me because I did NOT want to cross this guy or screw up the task he was giving me.

I'm a patientgamer, I usually play games years after they're released so I tend to get spoiled sometimes by accident, not that I really mind.

The last time I gasped at a game was when *Life is Strange SPOILERS* Kate committing suicide and Max seeing Chloe in a wheelchair.

Really? I mean howd you not see that coming? They telegraphed it the entire game.

For me its the God Child in Mass Effect 3. I wasnt expecting for an amazing ending, but boy was I shocked on just how bad it was. Like a whole new writing team wrote the last five minutes of the game. I could not believe after the three game journey to get there, thats what we got.

Most recently I was blown away that (Baldur's Gate 3 major spoiler) The Emperor was Balduran and killed Ansur

Metal Gear Solid 3 was the first 'serious' game I played (COD doesnt count) and the ending twist destroyed me. Not only that, but 12 y/o me did not see coming that "The Boss" would lead into the title "Big Boss".

The final killer in Ace Attorney 5 was so surprising to me I couldn't believe it and thought the game was suggesting a dead character did it. Before that, the twist in 2-2 that it had been the other sister in the driver's seat astounded me. It's telegraphed well enough but I was young enough not to put the pieces together until the climactic moments Phoenix does.

Caelid in Elden Ring, and the map refusing to stop getting bigger.

Also these were trailer moments. But Smash Ultimate's "Everyone is Here" melted my brain, only for that to somehow be topped when a Persona 5 trailer at a non-Nintendo event had Joker suddenly reveal the emblem on the letter in his hand

Heavy Rain and the "challenge" of chopping off your finger. It was rather gruesome, and made extra uncomfortable with having to use the motion controls. It wasn't some quick cutscene. Motion controls and various commands were needed to overcome the guy's fear.
