Have you ever noticed that the 1000 piece first aid kits, "everything included" are mostly a box of bandages and a bottle of pills, with them counting each pill as a piece? So the result is overpriced, and under delivered?

Because they're marketing based on panic/fear, emotions which cause people to be less critical of high prices.

It is the cost of freeze drying, the commercial freeze dry process is ridiculously expensive compared to the home process. So rather than buying those, just get your own and freeze dry everything yourself.
