Btw, if you guys haven't noticed, Weiss, one of the new Lightsworns, is actually Snoww, aka the Dark World searcher. I think their lore literally is that they just look creepy and mean but they're not actually bad guys. I think Dark Smog? Or one of those Lightsworn supports intersect the two lores with Snoww guiding Ryko out and also potentially helping him awaken to the power of twilight thus kick starting their disappointing modern support.

I guess they invited Snoww out to chill with them, and she's pretty cracked. Def 1700 in reference to her original attack as Dark World

I have a PUNK pile for the Chaos Ruler + Vamp mill, but as one might expect, the problem is Chaos Witch's restriction, which prevents me from using Vamp to mill for her.

Snatch Steal isn't gonna do shit. Non-targeting aspect is incredibly nice though. It'll probably be run on decks like Change of Heart is, and honestly, CoH is just considered a decent staple atm.

Rest of the list is quite nice. Ib to limit is incredibly scary actually. This is probably the scariest unban in the entire list. Cimo lives in the cave ages. I'm shocked that he's not shocked they didn't hit Chaos Sorcerer or some shit

Snatch Steal is a lot more searchable and recyclable because it's an equip spell though, plus it can steal "unaffected by activated effects" towers like Noir and PEP because the stealing effect is continuous and not an activated effect.

Wtf, that's kinda crazy actually. It's a huge buff to Mikankos. I dunno if every deck can so easily search it though.

I just don't think Towers mons are that big of a problem atm anyways

Mikanko essentially has its own in-archetype Snatch Steal with Reflection Rondo, so I don't know if they would use it. They still might though, and other equip-focused decks like Infernoble will definitely use it. Plus, Hidden Armory just generically searches equips at the cost of your normal summon, so if a going 2nd deck doesn't need its normal summon (Numeron?) then they could play 3 Hidden Armory to search the 1 Snatch Steal.

Let's not forget that Mind Control is unlimited. We have Change of Heart, 3x Mind Control, and Snatch Steal. Not bad filler for any deck with a going 2nd plan.

Triple Tactics Talent still exists too (though it's a bit more conditional and has a hard once per turn) making a total of 8 potential generic monster-stealing cards that could yoink an opponent's big monster and turn a game in your favor.

Yeah Ib is gonna be a fucking problem, I guarantee you. She's only gotten stronger over time I'm fairly sure... though she does cause you to run a few more bricks in the deck.

Ib is gonna pop off so freaking hard in Runick Synchro builds. You can make Laevatein into Jormungandr now for free. It's just almost freaking free. That's 2-3 powerful interruptions not limited to a card type.

Enterblathnir is also a really good hand rip, which can benefit a Runick grind game.

Oh my god, it's not HOPT. You can summon Ib, search the spell, summon Runick lvl 9, play spell, use Runick lvl 9 + whatever you summoned for Enterblathnir, hand rip, summon Runick lvl 9 again, summon another Enter Blathnir. The funniest thing is that if they can't out your board, you can handrip or banish from board the next turn as well. It's broken actually

Yeah the card is in reference to lightsworns. Hopefully that's not a dead ass Jain though, and a ded Ryko. I feel like Minerva turning basically mommy might indicate a lot of time's passed in the lore, but I don't think it's Jain and Ryko turned skeleton levels of time

Also yeah in game end scenarios where it's obvious the other guy turned responses off, I make it a point to finish the duel ASAP. It really doesn't take much to do your daily quests, and doing a lot of duels is the last quest you finish on every single event anyways. Showboating is completely useless and just a waste of everybody's time but the guy showboating (technically even a waste of their time as well, which makes it even more stupid)

It ruined some very good duels I've had over the years. It's like damn, we had that good of an exchange and you're gonna drag this shit out? It's so bad. I can understand some ppl doing it slowly due to circumstances but the problem with it is that it's done at all

It can take a while for even most meta decks to set up the otko. So its better and probably faster for them to just quit and try again. They gain rewards for winning on top of anything else achieved while ranking up for even more gems in the process.

Otherwise of they dont care
about winning then they can just make a suicide deck or something and save both players time.

I'm not even talking about people setting up 8k. I'm talking people playing for like 2-3 min with multiple negates and 8k+ already on the board against an empty board. I'm fine with people actually finding the OTK line, but it's very obviously not about that.

It's just lack of manners and stupidity. There's not any justification otherwise. Because every quests are designed to be accomplished as you play the duels they require you to play for the full rewards, there's literally 0 reason to do this except to waste the other person's time

It doesnt matter weather its for the 8, 20k or whatever frankly. If youre in a no win game state at that point or even beforehand then just quit and try again the next game.

You dont even need to complete all the dailies, just 2 or 3 are sufficient for long term grinding which I always knock out after a single win. Which should be fast and easy if youre using a good deck at the least.

We must be fighting different kinds of people. Mine are the kind of people who didn't scoop even if I'm playing Dragon piles.

If I'm switching to my 'fast and easy' deck, the opponent is a Drytron-length player or have Ash ready in hand to block my Red-Eyes Fusion.

Yeah it's never really over because I do run counters to most boards. I do surrender early if I drew no hand traps against DLink or something like that.

But honestly, most duels aren't really over til both players had their turns. I guess I personally build to be able to do that. If you're going full gas turn 1 centric, it's pretty easy to know when the duel is over

But yeah I'm not even talking about those situations either. Some people will have 5-7 turn duels and then showboat for a long time regardless. Heck, even if you had good exchanges for 2-3 turns, they'll still showboat. It happens every 3 or so duels for me, when I'm trying to just quickly knock off my dailies

Shout outs to the funniest fuckin event thus far

After 10 years trying to pull off Red-Eyes FTK in the event, I managed to do only one that was needed for my 2nd win.

The one time I got a winning hand, the fucker was Labrynth bouncing my Meteor Dragon back to the deck.

Notable lost was me on 5 seconds left against Bone Tower Eldlich mill deck, placing traps for follow up burn later only to end up running out of time because my internet is shit.

I won like 6 duels out of the 8 I played in the event through time limit. Honestly kinda shocking how well the opponent decision maker deck worked.

Also rehauled my Magikey deck with 3 Ringowurm. I crafted Ringowurms and have a slight regret, but it's a good card in general. Chaos Witch cope is starting to die out but I'm still not sure if I wanna dismantle her.

Fought a Purrely who couldn't get through a Borrelend negate and a Druiswurm yeet.

Then the same Purrely failed their math when I summoned Borrelsword, not realizing that 3k + 1.3k still couldn't out their Noir in DEF. Instead, they outed my Borrelsword and left Noir vulnerable to effects but still I have no way to out Noir. I got Hot Red out, eff to negate Noir, and they decided to yeet Hot Red back to the deck, lowering Noir's DEF enough for Borrelend.

I misplayed, but they misplayed more.

The notable stuff includes Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity (AKA the only thing making Centurion remotely viable) being banned, Change Of Heart from 1 to 2 (instead of unbanning Snatch Steal like the TCG), Sky Striker Mobilize Engage from 2 to 3, floodgate hits, and Heavy Storm being unbanned.

Technically, Heavy Storm is an inferior Harpie's Feather Duster because it destroys your backrow too, but it was banned because quite a few decks at the time were plussing off of destroying their own backrow and because people could floodgate the opponent's turn and then turn off the floodgates for their next turn by destroying them with Heavy Storm. That being said, I think it's fine to come back at 1 now. The only recent meta-relevant decks that come to mind that could plus big off of destroying their own backrow are a heavily gimped Tearlaments and (with their later support that's not in MD yet) Unchained, and I don't see people suddenly playing something like True Draco again just because Heavy Storm is around. Plus, most floodgate-reliant decks these days like Runick Stun would rather keep their floodgates online and play under them instead of destroying them. I think most decks looking for more backrow clearing beyond just the 1 Harpie's Feather Duster will continue to play Lightning Storm as they have been rather than swap one for Heavy Storm.

You can pop your own Waking the Dragon, at least. I'm pretty sure there will be some shenanigans happening by destroying your own backrow.

Also going first vs trap decks, but yah, limited application.

Waking The Dragon specifies that it needs to leave the field "because of an opponent's effect", so you can't pop it yourself. Same with Boo-Boo Game, the other boardwipe-punishing card Labrynth likes to run sometimes.

My list isn't that good atm. I've been practicing a lot on solo but in practice, it's way too fragile. Most combos are also more than 1 card required in hand, which is objectively pretty bad in the modern days.

Yeah the Cloudian baby looks funny, but here's the funny thing about him. If you normal Diviner, send Herald from ED to GY to get a search on the lvl 4 Ritual, which is probably the most important card you need to draw in this deck, you can then use the Diviner as tribute and summon Cloudian baby with her effect. This is important because the lvl 4 Ritual will then search the field spell, which searches the lvl 4 Mafteal and can also swap a card in your hand for a Magikey Maftea, which will now be able to send a normal monster from the deck to the GY

All of that will sound like a crazy person talk, but it's a pretty viable play. Herald can also be a Light which can be banish fodder for Bystials

It's way too difficult to cut to 40 cards, but I would legitimately just think of cutting Ash and 1 Advanced Ritual Art. Rituals suck ass and this deck is too reliant on summoning the lvl 4 ritual.

Also you absolutely need at least 4 normal monsters, one of which is the Magikey guy and the other being Cloudian. You need to cover Fire, Earth, and Wind, and I'm using the lvl 4 baseball chicks because shiny cards are cool, but they really should just be a Wind normal monster. Their stats don't matter, so you can use Celtic Guardian and Winged Dragon of the Fortress #2

Ringowurm will be too extravagant cuz it's not seeing too much play despite DLink being op rn. The combo you do with him is obviously to get a lvl 4 normal on the field first and then special him from hand. You can make Coral Dragon, which would then allow Ringowurm to banish himself from gy and summoning a lvl 2 token, which is both a tuner and non-tuner. They combine to make a lvl 8, which is hilarious, which can summon Chaos Ruler for a search/mill (I realized this sadly can't summon Trans rights activist or whatever the guy's name is).

If you don't have Ringowurm, you can add in Assault Synchron or the Blackwings tuner that specials itself when there's a 2k atk mon on the field. The last of the option is the worst one by far, but it's cheap as it comes with the structure deck

But the problem is getting a lvl 4 normal on the field first, which requires drawing any number of things. I wish it was more consistent, but the way this actual combo deck combos is more like a 2016~18 era deck than a modern era deck

My duel replay that I watched today was Dark Magician almost losing to a freaking burn bot using a bunch of terrible cards. In fact, the only reason it won, was cuz the bot used some jank ass burn trap that makes them roll 3 dice to burn that much x some amt iunno.

The bot rolled a 1, 2, 1, only doing a small amt of dmg... DM survived off like 1200 LP. They almost lost

Kashtira gets hit hard, stun decks get hit hard, Purrely gets hit moderately hard, a pre-emptive hit basically confirms new Superheavy Samurai support is coming in the next pack, Floowandereeze catches yet another stray bullet, and Dragon Link gets hit hard but also benefits from all of the Dragon Rulers being fully unlimited all at once so I guess maybe they come out even.
