Birdman was used in more than one FTKs. Gallis FTK, who gamefaqs has somebody named after, is the most infamous one, but it's pretty inconsistent since you gotta run all monsters.

He's also nuts in the current Genex build because returning a monster to hand as a cost fucking counts as adding a Genex monster to hand, which in turn activates the link-1. Because most Genexes aren't OPT, it also activates their normal summon condition again.

While he's not that good anymore (well he's good in Genex now for aforementioned reasons), they cautiously kept him in the banlist for a really long time cuz he's almost always used for degeneracy. It's crazy how potentially abusable universal returning to hand as a cost for a summon is

4k pulls on the pack and only 1 R-ACE Turbulence. Considering you need 3 Hydrants and 2 Turbulence, this does not bode well.

I got a lot of Tear Kash and Kash Big Bang. Unfortunately the former is limit 1 and the latter is used only one, though if there is any deck requiring lots of SR then I can make them, I guess.

4k more in the Arise-Heart selection pack for a total of 8k.

A TTThrust, 3rd Focused Aquamirror, 2nd R-ACE Turbulence, 2nd Rescue Cat, and a Wraithsoth.

Doesn't seem like a fruitful endeavor. Got 3 Aquamirror but no Nereimanas (which you need 2 of), got the Turbulence but none of the Hydrant (which you need 3 of).

Edit: decided to do 1k more (9k total gems) and 2 Nereimanas came out. Big fish caught I guess.

Whoa. Seeing Chimeratech Overdragon, Injection Fairy Lily, and Dark Armed Dragon all in a row like that really is a blast from the past. I remember eras where each of those were counted among the best cards in the game!

I love Vanquish Souls. They are such a fun deck and you can climb with them for sure. You just have to have the right balance of elements in the deck. There is a slight learning curve but its not as crazy as other decks, and it feels to good when it starts to click. And its pretty non linear in that even though you may be doing the same combos its never the same route/line every game.

Snow Devil is a crazy card. Its won me duels on using it correctly. We are in a format that doesnt have as much destruction protection let alone non targeting protection. Can really stagger or out right stop an opponents turn. Jiaolongs search is disgusting. Its a quick effect and can be done on both players turn for a whole archetype search (including spell and trap cards)

Edit: Also how could I forget. Stake your Soul! Your Nose is Mine! Stake your Soul is the most ultimate card to claim your opponents nostril and instantly win the duel - Milano, pro Yugioh player.

Not even close to having 2500 gems

This new Ra stuff is pretty hype. I only got three ultra rares out of my packs tho and two of them are I:P and Swordsoul Chengying.

Those are going right in the garbage bin immediately. Gimme my materials. Back down to 9k gems but I still think thats pretty good.

I got only 3 URs (2 of which were glossy weirdly enough. Out of both the TTT bundle and the Slifer one. My TTT bundle was UR-less. I cant complain too much as I kinda got more lucky on the Vanquish soul selection pack so I guess it evens out.

Im so tempted to make Floo right now. I dont know why but the birds are calling to me. Doesnt help that in one of the free pulls on the newly added packs I randomly got a glossy Mist Valley Apex Avian. Felt a bit spooky.

Easily brick because you do not have 1 card combo but pretty fun.

You can put other Lv 4 oriented stuff because Suship doesn't lock you in any way. That one spirit monster (Sakitama?) is pretty nice. You can even use Magikey together with Suship somewhat.

Suship can also use Adventure stuff. You can splash some archetype like Hope/Utopia or small Mathmech engine.

Edit: going 2nd is pretty viable as well.

Plus, it's refreshing to play a deck that gets to ignore the Maxx C minigame once in a while. I can get you my list later if you want.

Barrier Statues was what made Floo fun tho :(

I would love more list ideas. I pulled the trigger and made the deck. It is a lot more fun. I only played it back when map wasnt limited and the 3 of search spell wasnt in Master Duel yet. Its been fun coming up with a list. Ive settled on a thrust package and some extra traps like evenly and imperm. Im in Master 4 and its been interesting. A lot more scoops when they realize they cant stop you from getting to Empen. Also Harpies feather storm is just a busted card.

Tbh, Floos aren't as terrible to play against as they used to be. They're still the same self-playing deck that sits on some floodgates and hard to respond to tribute enemy for cost bs. They'll always just randomly win games off Shifter, but as long as the meta runs destruction and evenly matched, the birds get cooked. They also just don't have a great match up against Kashtira I think?

Let's face it though, Pot of Duality was never used for anything righteous. Any time there's a non-special summon reliant meta deck too, they're usually doing something stupid and weird, like True Dracos from eons ago.

Hey now, I'll have you know that True Dracos are technically still a degenerate deck, but at least it's slightly fair. Also, I can totally be trusted with Master Peace, please unban.

Small World is a nice consistency took to make up for the hits to the pots, being able to bridge through Crow/Chinook to any of the Floo birds. Chinook is pretty much only there for a Small World bridge, but in case of the rare chance that I draw it and can use its effect in the hand, I put a few Blackwing synchros in the extra deck. The extra deck is basically never used, so it's not like I need that room for anything else. I thought about trying to fit in Maxx C, but the deck is already tight on space and Shifter kills just as many decks while not being easily countered by Ash/Crossout.

Yeah, it's a rough one. Banishing face-down is basically the only place Floo can't recover from, and it especially hurts when Empen is at 1 and their only one gets banished face-down. Arise-Heart sucking up birds out of the banish pile also really... sucks. I've won the matchup before though, both going first and going second. Thrust into Harpie's Feather Storm when going first or into a board breaker when going second is still really stupid.

Kashtira as an archetype is just dumb and unfun to play against, even if the deck itself is underperforming a bit in Master Duel compared to how they did IRL. Personally, I hope they hit the deck by banning Fenrir and limiting Unicorn like the OCG did rather than banning Arise-Heart like the TCG did, because seeing Kashtira cards being generically used in other decks disgusts me.

Nah Kash with Ariseheart banned actually becomes a cool deck. They basically become Birth Control

You put down Birth and control as you would with Fenrir and Unicorn and protect them with traps and handtraps. As things around them get nerfed, these guys and their control style gets stronger

I found it, a way to play Arise-Heart without being a 'bad guy' messing with opponent's hand or deck, because Riseheart is a 'bad guy' for messing with opponent's deck.

Opponent had Nekroz of Unicore & Dogmatika Ecclesia, both Droplet'd.

My field had Dragon Drive, Amazing Dragon, and PEP.

Battle phase, PEP gain ATK to 6.5k.

I used PEP to attack Ecclesia.

In response opponent used Nekroz of Valkyruz that, on discard the card and banish one Nekroz card from GY, allows one to negate the attack then end battle phase when opponent monster declares an attack.

I still can attack with PEP, followed by Dragon Drive and Amazing Dragon for the kill.

Does PEP's unactivated by activated effects actually took effect and canceled the 'negate the attack then end battle phase'?

Based on the wording said card has to negate a atk in order to then end the battle phase. But since it couldnt affect PEP to do so the following effect for ending the battle phase couldnt trigger.

If you had used another monster first and he used the affect though it would have worked.

Yea, one that especially blew my mind when I saw it in a replay was dodging a deck out by skipping your draw phase. Since the lose only occurs upon you attempting to draw.

Which you can do by Utilizing effects like Number 60: Dugares the Timeless or Reckless greed.

Its also the reason why you cant Maxx C when under shifter or Ariseheart. The card cant go to the graveyard so it cant be activated. Thats the more common form of this coming up. But you can still Ash because it doesnt have that part of its wording.

Thats why certain cards wording is so important. Cards like Forbidden Droplet use the wording choose (which is really rare) which allows it to break through most protections. Same with Zeus, the card uses the word send, which is super powerful.

No, I understand about that stuff (kind of), I just didn't expect it worked that way because I honestly thought it affects player and not the monster.

Finishing my dailies and I just had a duel against a bot I am 100% convinced was cheating. Drytron into Amorphage to skip my main phase with the trap that ends the turn after battle. Once is just bad luck right? Well I had super poly and ate their board for mudragon and destroyed IP.

Second turn they do it again ending on Zeus and Fafnir. I have another super poly and go into Garua. Still not lethal because they have a second trap to skip my main phase 2. Turn three they have nothing but one card in hand and a set card, I'm positive its the third trap. But I finally get my main phase and the one card they still have in hand is ash blossom for my branded fusion.

The player is also using the default Icon, mate, and frame. So its 100% a bot right? I can't believe I won this shit duel.

Playing Ritual Beasts put costs into perspective. Sometimes, as long as you can fulfill even a part of the cost or effect as the requirement to do the next thing, it actually goes through. If you target 2 banished cards and return 1 of them, it fulfills the cost, but if you return both of the banished targets to the gy, it no longer fulfills the cost.

If an effect says destroy 2 cards, then do this, I'm fairly sure if only 1 card gets destroyed by the effect, the then ___ clause will go off, but I'm not 100% sure.

Also if you have to negate a monster's effect to use the next effect, if all the available targets are already negated, then that effect in its entirety can't be activated. You can't negate an already negated monster.

MX Invoker is unbanned, so now we're looking at a non-normal summon reliant free Megaclops + Drident or a Draco + Drident. This shit can go totally nuts or not affect anything whatsoever

I don't think rank 7 turbo is that much of a threat, ngl. It's still one of the strongest combo decks going first but what do they do going second still?
