Sometimes, but not too often. I dont run into Alioth often either, but I mostly play Conquest and cant even recall the last time I bothered to play Ranked up too far. I think it has been a while since I played to Tier 40 lol

Ive never bothered to try playing to that high a rank. I found the game more enjoyable when I quit caring about winning constantly. I complete the season pass rewards every time and thats generally good enough for me

most of the infinite card backs have been mid at best anyway

the venom one way back when i started (don't have) and the loki one (do have) have been the only ones I really cared about getting

I never even hit 60 for the mystery variant before. Playing to 90 sounds like a lot of time, effort, frustration and meta deck playing for some extra rewards.

I made it to 79 6/7 yesterday morning.

Dropped down to 75 by the end of the night.

Woke up today, got back to 79, dropped down to 74.

Since when do Snowguard's Bear and Hawk cost 3? Considering the Bear doesn't fucking work on like 90% of locations, that's a huge nerf.

they increased the power on them as well.

they made the change because everyone pretty much uses snowguard with quinjet in their loki deck so they didnt want the hawk/bear to just be 1 cost

As a low tier player I havent seen Loki much since his season. Same is going for Elsa now that her season is over too though. Ms Marvel everywhere for the new factor and weekend missions

Yeah honestly the deck I see the most anymore is just a basic ass destroy deck. X23 giving that deck +1 energy every turn is really flying under the community hate radar I think.

Basic ass Destroy is my main deck these days with Nico added to it anyways. Its a fun deck that doesnt require many specific combos or anything the way some other decks do, but I also dont think the deck feels broken or unfair either since it has many counters like Armor, Cosmo, Enchantress/Rogue the Knull, etc

After a full year of being 100% F2P I think Im gonna finally try being a just buys the Season Pass kind of player.

Especially because the new card rate is increasing starting next month, and I think the Season Pass is still the best value in the game

But basically you're just trying to clear your hand so that Dracula always hits Infinaut and then Strong Guy gets buffed on turn 6. Loki copying all of these cards is basically useless for him.

I tried it out a little, but my draws all sucked and it will take time to get used to playing a deck like that over the simple stuff Ive been playing

Note for Gladiator coming out tomorrow: if the card it pulls has an On Reveal, that will happen before Gladiator decides if it destroys it or not

This obviously has positives and negatives. You pull a Black Panther or a Venom, they can survive, but also if you pull a MODOK, itll survive but it will really mess their hand up

I just can't see it as anything more than a worse Yondu.

I think there will be decks it curbstomps against like Discard and Bounce

But also decks that your opponent wants you to play it like basically any other deck

Pulling out some cards can be useful to ruin a combo I guess, but I dunno

He just slots right into a Surfer deck that already runs Forge because of Brood. Or put him into a Cosmo lane.

I kinda doubt he sees play outside of Surfer decks but IDK.

Obviously hitting Iron Man or Ms Marvel or Patriot is ideal but yeah Yondu can do that too

Gladiator seems really fun, but I already have Mirage/Loki with cool variants for each, so I don't know if I can risk my 2 spotlights on not getting him.

Mirage might be tempting even though I can afford her with tokens. Loki too maybe even though I dislike playing against his deck and might not ever use him myself. Otherwise looks like I might be saving spotlight keys til late December or January stuff

I got Loki Variant Gladiator and Mirage in 3

Tried my luck with the random s4/s5 card and got a normal Loki dupe for 1000 tokens

Did not know that could happen if you weren't s4/s5 complete will definitely be bailing on selections if before I draw the random s4/s5 in the future if I can.

Wow Im surprised you missed the uproar back when pulling a dupe used to just give you a random Premium Mystery Variant

I get why they do dupes, but I feel like every card should only be able to be pulled as a dupe once over your whole career. That way even if you pull one at least it is some minor progress towards not getting one again

Not really no. I made infinite using a Loki discard deck that just used Swarm and Helicarrier to build hand size for him.

Related note I still think Lokis best use is in a deck that isn't design towards maximizing him but just running him + collector in a deck that has its own strategy that you can audible out of if you draw the wrong cards to make it work (like Hela or the Discard deck I ran or something else)

Ive got 13k+ tokens, but not sure what to do with them at the moment still. Ive had Mirage pinned for a while so I could either get her for 3k or try my luck with spotlights. Cant say I really know or care about Mohawk Not-Superman dude even though that doesnt really matter for this kind of game. Probably just gonna keep hoarding I guess?

Just won a cool match unexpectedly in Conquest. Opponent stormed out the middle location and snapped since I was using my Nico Zoo deck and hadnt played much aside from Dazzler, Kazaar and Blue Marvel. They snapped thinking they were gonna win and played Alioth on Rickety Bridge the final turn with priority which killed the 1 card I played there turn 6, but then my Shanna flipped over and got his Alioth killed there too so I won. Dude probably didnt see it coming

Oh right its the day for the dudes for Peach Momoko. Still takes way too long for a variant you actually want to ever show up in the gold shop.

They really need to let you pick a few characters you want them for to increase odds or something. I mean they want people to spend right? If you could pick your favorites and have them show up more youll spend more gold or money. You wont spend if theyre stuff you have no interest in

Made it to 93 and then I've been absolutely demolished over the last few days. I'm pretty close to deranking back down to 89 which I don't think has ever happened to me in this game.

If youre playing anything on Ladder today besides a Destroy deck, youre gonna have a bad time

Yeah I was going to say I really don't want to play Destroy but there's no point playing anything else right now.

You could probably also get away with a Sera deck with all the counters to Destroy
