Yes - bought a dirt cheap one years ago to use as a mobile translator on trips to Japan (I speak conversational-level Japanese, but not well enough to get by unassisted) and that's literally the only thing I use it for.

originally to just read manga, upgraded any time I felt like a better one was cheap enough

now i just use it to display instructions for Gundams, or when playing dnd since it's far easier to manage my character digitally where it calculates everything for me instead of needing paper and shit, since i don't really read manga anymore

I had one for a while, but it was one of those "Windows 10" tablets. It was frustrating to use, because Windows 10 in a tablet environment is annoying, so I got rid of it.

I haven't really seen a need to get another one, I don't see the advantage of having an iPad or Android tablet over a phone, since if I want a bigger screen I will just use the "linked phone" functionality in Windows.

Nope; PC and phone cover all bases. But I do have a dedicated drawing tablet for my PC.

I really wanted a Vadem Clio when they came out. It was a convertible laptop/tablet that ran Windows CE. They were stupid expensive, though ($1000, $1750 in today's dollars)

I've had a Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy Note 12.2, and a Galaxy Tab S6. The Note 10.1 stopped working, I have the 12.2 mounted on the wall running a weather app, and the Tab S6 is my daily driver.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a Tab S9, though I haven't decided which version. The Ultra has the best specs, but it's gigantic.

Work gave me a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio. That's the model that looks like a laptop, but the screen can flip over to cover the keyboard (like the Clio) and you can use it as an extremely heavy tablet (4 pounds, the Tab S9 Ultra has a slightly larger screen but is 1.6 pounds)

Oh, and I bought my spouse an Amazon Fire HD 10. Man, did that ever turn out to piece a piece of crap. All Amazon tablets are garbage.

I got one of those Amazon Fire HD tablets when they were on sale. I haven't been using it much lately though.

I got the Tab 9 Ultra, its really nice tablet. But youre right, it is huge, i have the Bluetooth keyboard, and feels like laptop when using it in dex.

I have an iPad and an Android tablet, but I use the iPad (an iPad mini 5) more, so I answered with that. The iPad mini is my preferred size for tablets, and there don't seem to be a whole lot of Android tablets in that range. I found one, and when I do use it it tends to be for indie games side-loaded from itch.io, but it's not that great.

I have an old Kindle Fire HD 7 and an old Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Both pretty worthless at this point.

I loathe touchscreen tech, so I will spend the rest of my life avoiding tablets like the plague until I no longer have any other choice.

I got a cheap one years ago and never bothered with it so got rid of it. My phone and PC is all I need.

Yes, I currently have an iPad Pro from about 5 years ago and I use it every single day. The battery has gotten so bad that it loses 90% of its charge in about an hour, lol. Itd cost a little over $100 to get it replaced, but I cant justify the cost since its so old.

I use it for lots of things, but Im a musician and I bought (and still use it daily) for a scrolling transcription app when I play/practice. Thats why I got the Pro, because it has the largest screen.

I wish the new basic iPads also came in 13.9 inch, because I dont like that the new iPad Pros are basically touchscreen laptops now. I dont need all that processing power in my tablet, I already have a laptop and desktop for that. Id absolutely replace my current iPad with a new base or Air if they came in 13.9.
