The CFP just puts a LOT of emphasis on strength of schedule and high-quality wins, and they very strictly ignore games that have not yet been played, so Ohio State's two wins over Notre Dame and Penn State just completely dominate Michigan's resume. I actually thought Michigan was going to be ranked lower! I agree that Michigan looks like the better team when you watch them, but they've done that while not playing anyone who's even sniffing the top 25. That'll all get sorted once they play Penn State. There's nothing wonky about it - Michigan is simply unproven and Ohio State is not. Even if we assume Michigan will beat Penn State, the CFP doesn't until it actually happens.

I mean wonky in the sense that the team that's initially ranked #1 isn't even in the top 4 by the end a lot of the time

But that's also part of what makes college football great because the last month is often so chaotic

Air Force just straightly should not be ranked imo - their SOS is one of the worst in the country. JMU is ineligible for the CFP rankings, but I agree should be ranked ahead of AF in the AP poll. Tulane's better than both though sorry.

OUs offense is such a poor match with our defense. Were a lot better than last year but we dont have depth, yet we still run a no huddle as quickly as possible and it just doesnt work.

I feel bad for Gabriel, he transferred here and was a serviceable QB, and saved us from being 3-9 bad last year, but he is just not OU quality

10-7 baby. Only Iowa touchdown came off a blocked punt to start them in the red zone. Neither team got more than 175 yards of offense.



We are somehow going to win the Big 10 West with the shittiest offense in college football. Kirk still won't change QBs even though Hill has 5 turnovers in two games, passes at sub 40% accuracy, and can't run. And the back up did better in last years bowl game than Hill has ever done.

They keep making the Iowa O/U lower every week. Now it sits at 28 for the game against Rutgers, and apparently bettors are still hammering the Under.

Unless Kirk shockingly switches QBs or the D/ST does all the work I don't see Iowa getting over 20 points (probably not even 16) and the Iowa D rarely allows teams bad to score 14 or more.

I'm absolutely desperate for USC and Iowa to play each other in a bowl game this year. I want to see what the O/U is for that game so badly.

USC has not had a game go UNDER 66 points this year to date. I'm almost certain that this team must be on pace to break a record for most total points scored by both teams in all their games because they almost have to be.
