Even St.Louis has a significant amount of voter suppression my dude, though I can't speak to KC. But yes, far too many people in this state have fallen for these morons. It's always so fucking weird to me because we soundly reject right to work every time it comes up, voted in both medical and then legal marijuana, and we'll probably vote in favor of abortion rights. We also pass mostly progressive ballot measures. I think a chunk of it is that the dems run shitty candidates here but also people have just fallen for the Fox News line of "dems bad" without realizing that the policies that they regularly vote in favor of are dem policies.

Know a girl who lives there and she's stuck in a marriage where her husband not only cheated on her but tried convincing her to let the mistress move in and have a polygamous relationship. Oh and he's had a kid with this other woman. She tried to get a divorce but they told her to try marriage counseling first which she can't afford and he refuses to.

You can just get a divorce without any more hassle than other states in Ohio. You just file for it like anywhere else. Counseling isn't any kind of necessity. Could she not afford a lawyer to fill out the paperwork?

She's pretty broke. That's a whole nother issue where her job hasn't been paying her but even if they did she'd be scraping by.
