I paid 1250 for a studio about the same size for two years. If I went any lower with the price anywhere in the city. There's no kitchen and only a microwave. Since then the price has gone up to 1300-1400.

I wouldnt want to live in the US, and Id want to live in Detroit even less. I also wouldnt want to live in a studio apartment.

Then theres the fact that I live somewhere much nicer now and get paid $500 per month to live there.

My mortgage for less than that and almost 1600 square foot makes me say no... Plus I have another nine hundred fifty square foot unfinished upstairs... No way I'd pay that especially in Detroit of all places...

This would be my advice if you were to BUY something in Detroit. That said, Detroit is massive. It's gonna be rough for a very, very long time
