My biggest tip for getting through it is to master Tiger Drop and Komaki Parry. Its the gameplay is always a highlight and so are the side quests. The gameplay can get a little janky at least when comparing 1-3 to 0 for me. The story in 1 and 2 was great too. Basically the physics engine was designed around 30 fps, so some animations won't work and even stuff like Spyro's jump height gets neutered at 60. Can't find actual video of it, but apparently it's legit unplayable if you get it to the 100s range.
