should I read the book instead? the show feels interesting enough but when I found out it's only one season I was disappointed.

Haven't seen it myself, but the general consensus seems to be that the show isn't that good. You're better off reading the novel, watching the 90s miniseries or reading the comic adaptation. I prefer the novel, but the comic is a decent adaptation and the miniseries is quite good if you're okay with 90's made for tv cheese.

The only good parts of the TV show was Harold and unfortunetaly Amber Heard as Nadine. Otherwise its so fucking bad. The miniseries os better but yeah the book is best. Read the book and next summer read the exteneded book.

Heard it was mediocre, if you want to experience it without reading the book (also highly recommended) you should check out the miniseries from ABC back in the 90s.

Wait...what? He's releasing yet another extended version? I thought the last one was the complete version where he added things his publisher had him remove upon first publication.

Nah I just think the first read should be the originsl and the next reada should be the exteneded ones. Also that The Stand is a perfect summer book.

ABC 90's Miniseries (had some decent stars in it and much closer to the book)
CBS Miniseries.

Read the book, as its incredible. Every adaptation of it has been mediocre at best.

yeah this is definitely one of those adaptations where you can tell they had to leave out a bunch of shit

I would have liked the series better if it was told in a linear way. I just don't get why stories needs to jump around in the timeline. Flashbacks are fine but that isn't even what they did here.

Just read it. They keep trying, but it's really not a book that's suitable for tv or movie adaption.

Trash is an understatement. I havent watched it, but when it even gets brought up in book circles people lose their shit.

ok I finished it, I thought the ending was pretty good. the last couple episodes definitely got more interesting than some of the earlier ones. the characters that died had good sendoffs I thought
