Well I'm home from the dial of destiny. I thought it was a nice send off to the character. At least until Harrison Ford wants to get paid again anyway.

I want to see it but the nearest cinema to me is about an hour and a half drive each way. I guess I'll wait for it to come to Foxtel (Australian cable/satellite tv service) to see it.

That's what broke...LoL...just must've hit at the most awkward angle is all...was just a normal Xbox controller so I'm not too worried about replacing it..Will only cost me 20-25$ tomorrow to get it replaced. Like I said, never had an issue with them breaking before (first time in over 20 years of gaming on Xbox that I've ever had one break like it did)...so I'll just grab one cheap off eBay. Shoulid be back to gaming on the PC w/ controller in about a week or so.

I ordered the longest HDMI Cable 4K I could find on Amazon along with an 8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter 2 yesterday.

Soon I'll be able to game while camping out in bed.

Morning folks, just chiming in to say I hope you guys have a good Sunday.

Gonna relax and kick back as much as possible, wife & kids are going out later, means I can clean the house, vibe to music, crack open a cold one after and enjoy some games + peace and quiet.

Making the most of it because these sort of weekends don't come often.

100 feet is just over 30 metres. Is the cable fibre optic? You may have issues with 4K if it isn't.

The prebuilt computer I bought came with this 8 inch USB wireless antenna thingy.

I had tried that once and successfully broadcasted to my bedroom television.

Felt like I was experiencing electromagnetic flux disease in bed though. :/

Let's put it this way. I purchased a 5 metre HDMI 2.1 cable rated by the HDMI Forum for up to 8K@60Hz and I had issues when I used it at 4K@120Hz, like no signal on my OLED issues. Even at 60Hz I had issues, though not all the time as I did at 120Hz. Even reducing the colour gamut down from 10bit to 8bit only helped moderately. If I dropped it down to 1440p it worked. I returned the cable and got another and same thing. I returned that one too and purchased a 3 metre cable and it worked perfectly.

Most cables that long are rated for HDMI 2.0, which is 18Gbps. You really need HDMI 2.1, which is 48Gbps. The only way you'll get that at that length is fibre optic, and even then you may need an active HDMI cable. Just make sure it is rated for HDMI 2.1 by the HDMI Forum (it will have a QR code on the box that you can scan to see what it's rating is, if the cable is any good that is) if you do go that route.

As @EvilResident said above, try it out. If it works then happy days. If it doesn't you may need to reduce the resolution and/or refresh rate output to the tv.

I was also going to buy myself an Active USB Extension Cable 100 Feet, 22AWG USB 2.0 A Male to Female Cord for my controller.
