This is worded oddly and so hard to know what you mean here. Not attacking but it can be taken in multiple different ways.

I'm mainly referring to how some of the respondents are acting appalled that some people answered men, calling the people doing so delusional, questioning their political alignment, etc.

While the people who said it's men are not reacting the same to the ones who answered women, despite disagreeing with them.

Women have it easier. They just need to keep their mouth shut, look pretty, open their legs wide, and make dinner and they will be set for life.

That often doesn't work due to domestic abuse and/or husbands losing their jobs.

And yes picking better men helps avoid that, but there aren't enough quality men for every woman.

If I'd hazard a guess that's likely tension created by the political climate where many of us lost our rights, are continuing to do so, and are dying in record numbers thanks to said policies. That likely has people heated (and protective.)

An unfortunate thing about this being the internet is that a lot of guys are simply not having sex, and thus don't get why women who don't want to run into the abortion laws can't just also not have sex, and thus the issue doesn't resonate with them.

Granted that perspective neglects women who were raped or who did want the child but ended up facing severe medical complications during the pregnancy.

These are some disturbing poll results, even taking into account the demographics of this forum skew wildly toward guys.

Women a lot of social norms are meant to benefit men or at least have been manipulated to favor men.

People need to realize that the type of men on an online video game forum tend to not fit the masculine ideal the patriarchy sets fot men. Much of male privilege is attached to social power, and some friendless guy making minimum wage doesn't have that. So he basically gets shit on for being a failed male and derives very little of the benefits that men generally get over women. That will color his perspective.

Let's try to keep it equivalent. If I had made a sensationalistic but vague claim about men 'dying in record numbers', it'd be good practice of you to press me for statistics. It matters a lot how we talk about the issue, so it's important to keep people accountable.

If I claimed that people are being victimized by illegal immigrants in record numbers, for example, that'd absolutely be a vague and sensationalistic claim, and you'd have every right to hold me accountable by requesting more precise data.

Agreed. But I thought you were attributing a 'record number' of deaths to the overturn of Roe v Wade specifically. If you were just attributing them to anti-abortion legislation in general, then fair enough.

It's The Apologist, dismiss while you're ahead. It's not worth it. He only appears in men vs women topics.

And this is coming from someone on the side who thinks mens' lives are hard.

The main problem is actually that people are failing to refute the other side's data dumps in ways that actually prove the side they claim has it worst indisputably does.

The logical answer to the topic is "it depends on the place and individual" but people talk past each other and downplay the data the other side posted.
