Feels like boomers are keeping it alive. Anytime you need a game, gotta find the person with the key. Oh wait they are hiding.

Now guess what else needs a key? Printer ink. They claim "we have to protect our precious printer ink because people steal it!"
Oh you mean the ghost-town electronic section with no employees ever around has theft? You don't say?
What if you, you know actually hired people? Oh? Out of the question?

This is one store I hope amazon kills and ends it viciously. Guess if I ever want printer ink just order it on amazon.

That was supposed to be the point of Walmart and why it got big. Cheap and convenient. Now it is actually the opposite of convenient.

You make it seem like walmart just woke up one morning and thought it would be smart to make the shopping experience of its customers as awful as possible...yeah, no.

The core demo combined with the shit pay is why nobody wants to work there. A lot of industries are struggling with hiring enough people. And yes, a lot of "the people of walmart", think theyre entitled to property that doesnt belong to them. So now certain merchandise gets put behind glass.

Very rural areas like mine wouldn't have anywhere to shop at all without Walmart. Outside of grocery stores, literally nothing else is here.

For a lot of these areas, there used to be other places to shop, until Walmart showed up and ran them out of business.

Did you ever consider that if Walmart wasn't choking them out of your area you would have other businesses to shop at?

They got printer ink behind cages? That sucks, thankfully not here.

Seems like if theres another nearby Walmart youd be better off going to that one. The one I go to is in a nice area and its pretty awesome.

We never had anything else before Walmart came here. The population of the area is already in decline and poverty is on the rise, too, so it's not as though a thousand different stores would be lining up to open because no one here has any real money.

I lived in the hellscape that is rural Ohio for about five years. Town small enough that its "main street" was just a mile-long stretch of the major highway running through it and with a population hovering around 3000.

That small town didn't have a Walmart, but it had plenty of local businesses.

Probably for the best, I don't want some random walmart shopper's lips all over my dildo.

How much of that business was located near that stretch of major highway? How quickly did that drop off one, two, three miles away?

Walmart doesn't even have low prices anymore. Basically is what they warned from the late 90s/early 2000s. Low prices at the start to eliminate the competition then they can charge whatever they want once they are gone.

@GrandConjuraton the irony is Walmart is why there is nowhere else. It was a thing back in the day Walmart would roll into these areas and kill all the businesses.

Books are vendor items and a lot of books are pay per scan. Meaning unless the upc is scanned and purchased it doesn't cost the store.
