Funny you should mention this after some prodding from me and her sister, my coworker decided to binge it this weekend and she loves it. Finishing the last episodes now actually. Hadn't rewatched it in a couple years so I finished a binge of it myself, still one of those things that gets me emotional. Hope you enjoy it!

what's gurren lagann and mob's history in these things, or at least highest record

Mob made the finals in SMFAS 7, a true cinderella run but vs. juggernaut Death Note in the finals was too much to overcome (also worth noting that was before Season 3, of course)

TTGL finished 4th place in SMFAS 8, I think it usually goes out around 20-something place too. Just checked and it was 18th last year (Mob finished 27th)
