That makes them Absorbing Man (pre drop), Shuri, Valkyrie, Bast, and now Sauron.

Just lost one for a weird reason and due to not paying attention to the animation.

I got a 0 cost card from The Raft. The opponent also got a 0 cost card from The Raft which I did not expect them to play as I didn't realize they had it. Whenever I had filled up the raft on the same turn as the opponent but off priority, only they got the card and not both of us. So I assumed they didn't have one.

I think it was due to cards being moved by another location causing the raft to trigger so it doesn't care about priority at that point and gives both people the 0 cost card. I was watching TV at the time so wasn't watching animations.

If you both fill the Raft on the same turn you both get a free card, priority doesn't matter.

But the animation only shows a card going to your opponent I believe. There's something weird about the Raft animation honestly.

Or rather if you both fill it at the same time. If you fill it first and an opponent moves a card into the Raft on the same turn obviously you only get a card.

I'm probably misremembering the past then. Could have sworn when I had filled the raft off prio in the past that I didn't get a card but the opponent did.

The only thing I can think of that may have played a factor is the opponent played a 4th card on Raft while you filled with something like Brood or Mister Sinister. If you fill with that on the same turn that someone actually played a 4th card it would deny you the free card if you didn't have priority.

The Raft will activate even before any cards even flip if the fourth card played to the location is face-down, so in the case of Brood or whatever even priority wouldnt matter if the other player already filled it without the last one revealing yet. And it does do an animation for both players if they both get it at the same time, one after the other

god i LOVE how you can end turn on the final turn, your opponent then snaps, and you can't fucking undo and you lose an obvious play once you see the snap

Just the fact that you can't undo at all is pretty bullshit but you should definitely be able to undo if the opponent snaps

Yeah it's stupid that the "optimal" play in this game is waiting until the very last second to snap or end your turn.

Im playing the Shuri deck to get the most out of her before the nerf.

On the early turns, opponent plays Zabu and Armor. I of course use the Armor lane as a safe place to play Red Skull

Then on Turn 6 they Enchantress their own Armor, followed by a Shang Chi

I've done that before but not intentionally planned for it, just it worked out that I could.

That is great. I've been looking for places to Enchantress an Armor to attack the enemy but it requires so much energy it's not really feasible.

Best read I've done in a while. They stole my Doom and played it on 5 so they knew I had one and could generate 10 power on each lane turn 6. They were down 11 and 9 on the side lanes, so I knew they had to play something with at least 9 power to beat my Doom. So I played Shang instead. They played Dino and got rekt both places. Still 50% chance Shang copy would landed in the wrong place but whatever.

I feel like people who run Death never expect you to also be running death.

I did Snap > Moongirl > Wave so what do you think I'm going to drop T6? Because he counter snapped with only Death + Shang Chi to play. And there was zero chance of his Shang Chi winning him any lane even if it did destroy something

I legitimately thought people were bullshitting me or that they had been patched out but I finally ran into several bots tonight with impossible splits. I'd always read about them as being giveaways that you're against a bot but I had never actually seen one until tonight where I've seen 3.

Rather embarrassingly I lost a 4 cuber (bot snapped not me) to one who literally only played 2 cards (Sunspot + The Infinaut) but I checked all my plays and there was literally nothing I could have done differently that would have resulted in a win because the sunspot was in a lane I couldn't hit with Shang Chi and the Infinaut was played off prio.

Ive never seen a bot play Sunspot + Infinaut that way, kinda interesting that they know to even do that

There is one impossible split that can be a real player if they were playing during the beta period, the gold background without any particle effects. It would have to be on a card that actually existed back then too of course

Also this season is a lot tougher sledding than last season.

I think by this point last season I had done 20 > 65. So far this season I've done 40 > 55

So Snowguard is gonna be completely useless outside of Featured Location events I assume

Since the effects of the card apply to both players, but you were the one who had to spend resources to do it, it seems like it is way more likely to benefit your opponent than you, unless you are building your deck around a specific location because it is Featured

I assume that Bear doesn't do anything on locations that only act on a specific turn

I used to use him in a Patriot deck that tried to use Magik to get an Onslaught combo. It helped drawing all of the cards I needed by turn 7.

But yeah probably not great unless you're trying to hit a big combo.

As for Adam Warlock, I put him and Bast in any deck that doesnt really need the full 12 cards (Shuri for example) for an early turn combo to help ensure I get the cards I do need. If you dont have Bast try Hawkeye/Warlock for the same effect just a bit more restricted in placement.

And if Bast hits anything bigger than 3, thats what Luke Cage is for

Pro tip for anyone running Valkyrie: if I have Luke Cage out, you cant gimp my Red Skull. Someone thought they could twice today!

Patriot+Mystique guys snap after that combo every time, and its so funny when they retreat before Enchantress even gets her animation off.

I must be close to owning all the pixel variants by now, it seems like the only variants I ever get, unless I buy them.
