edit: I own Y6, Kiwami, Kiwami 2, Judgment, and Lost Judgment (I bought them all on sale), but idk when I'll get around to them.

Only Yakuza: Like a Dragon a few months ago but I really liked it. I'll for sure be playing more of them

Theyre quality games but they feel similar. But also theyre dirt cheap so whatever.

I am not ready.

0-4 + Judgement. Took a break cause I burnt myself out on them.

I've only played LaD last year when it was one of the monthly games on PS+.

It was fucking fantastic and I've been meaning to check out more of the franchise.

0, Kiwami, and started Kiwami 2 the other day. I'm getting through them really slowly.

finished 0, Kiwama and the HD remakes of 2,3,4,5, and Judgement. started but never finished 6 or LaD. i think I'm over the series. just way too many gigantic exposition / dialog dumps (some feel like they take 20 minutes) and the combat is not very engaging for me.

Making my way (slowly) through the main series starting at 0. I finished 5 late last year and am giving it a while before I move onto 6. It's very easy to get burned out on these games and how massive they are.

The only game that I really didn't like was 3. How's 6?

I thought 6 was good. It's not the best, it's not the worst. It's the first of the games to use that new engine so it feels a bit pared back compared to some of the earlier ones. I could see someone loving 5 then hitting 6 and going "wtf". But I felt after the pure bombast and nonsense of 4 and 5 it felt nice to go back to a smaller story focused on Kiryu. I also liked Okinawa or whatever the new location was.

I will stan for 3 all day err day. The one I probably disliked the most was 5. It was just too large. It was the only one I basically rushed through by the end cause I was utterly and completely over it. 6 invigorated me back up and I beat it pretty swiftly after. Only time I got really burnt out was the end of 4 to 5, and then the middle of 5. Otherwise I've been hooked since.

I've beaten every single main game (excluding the original PS2 games and replacing them with Kiwami).

There's a reason I didn't bother to make an "all of them" option.

I mean first of all it wasn't the point of the poll. Secondly, "all" can mean different things depending on your perspective. Would one count Kurohyo and RGG Online?

Watched 0, 1, 2 and 7 on YT. Close enough right?
Started watching 3 but tapped out pretty quick because it felt like more of the same.

Yakuza 0, LaD, and Lost Judgment.

I haven't played Like a Dragon or any of the Judgement games. Otherwise I played the other ones but haven't beat it entirely yet.

Only the first one.

And I actually kind of liked it, its just one of those series that Ive mostly just missed out on but not out of an active avoidance or anything.

I decided to just watch the cutscenes for 3 and 4 because I was worried the gameplay would be too dated.I also still have to beat 6 and the judgment games before I play isshin and like a dragon.

I love this series but man is it a commitment.

0, Kiwami 1, and Kiwami 2.

Only 0 and Kiwami 1 so far, but i own up through 5 and have access to the rest through game pass. I really enjoy the series, but i take such long breaks between the games, I always forget what happened.

I felt exactly the same. I could feel a bit of burnout from game to game, but 5 was the only time it gave me burnout THROUGHOUT itself. And it doesn't help that Saejima's prison stuff is very similar to 4, only much longer and drawn out in 5. Just terrible, terrible pacing. I barely even paid attention to the baseball guy it felt like I was just completely done by then.

I have played and beat all of them except Ishin, haven't beat it yet. I also loved Dead Souls.

All of them but dead souls but I've been in tune with the dead souls speedrunning community so closely I may as well say I've played it at this point, along with Kenzan.

The only ones I've never played or watched are the PSP titles because I'm holding out on the full English patch for both. If it takes a few more years though and the games releases slow down I may just watch those, too.

....huh? Kiryu tends to actively stand up for trans people in substories and stuff. I'm sure I'm probably forgetting like 1-2 random things, but for the most part the ones I remember are treated with respect, and the one that wasn't seems to have been removed anyway.

so far at 0 though i promised myself i would begin 0 first (games come up on my longer backlog, gets pushed back).
cant start fist of the north star (lacking the 1st game on ps3).

It kinda blows my mind that people are content to just watch the cutscenes on YT and call it a day. As much as I love this series, the main story cutscenes tend to be very long and dry. I can't imagine sitting through all that without also playing the game in between, like it just seems like there's no payoff in that
